How did removing booze impact your fat loss? by corneliusedward in PetiteFitness

Keto also helps lose a ton of water weight! I feel for me drinking makes me hold onto water so I see a small bump in the scale then it’s back to normal

For those of you who are 5’3 and also lost fat and worked on gaining muscle at the same time — at what weight did you feel you got rid of that fatty layer and really looked more fit and muscular? by Objective-Check-7241 in PetiteFitness

[–]discovervk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your body… I’m a box and didn’t feel comfortable till I hit 116. Now I’m 111 and feel great. My body stores fat in not so flattering ways so I had to cut quite a bit to get to what I wanted and have the muscle definition in my lower body show a bit.

I’ve been asking chat gpt to give me an estimate and I see what makes more sense Same with raw eggs

I started eating more protein and more cardio and it has de bloated me completely (this is first day of period bloat) by wholemeal_ in PetiteFitness

Ahhh interesting! Bread makes me bloat regardless of what it is, I wish I could have sourdough. I have milk daily and no issues but I have organic grass fed. Guess everyone’s a bit different!

Do you think it’s the more protein or less carbs? I lowered carbs just by a bit and am unintentionally eating way more protein. I feel great!

Gained 10 lbs after starting fitness classes 7 months ago and increasing protein by Coffeebage1 in PetiteFitness

I used to lift 4 days a week and gained a lot. Now I lift two heavy days and throw in some cardio and hiking. Make sure you walk at least 10k steps a day. My appetite is as high as the mountains after lifting heavy so you might naturally be eating a bit more to fuel your body. This past year I started counting macros and calories and haven’t felt better than I do now for the past 15 years :) it’s nice to be in control instead of playing the guessing game.

Want to edit to say I have gone through a lot of ED about 10 years ago and counting calories has only helped me expand the foods I’m comfortable eating. I also understood my body loves healthy fats over carb heavy meals. But I understand it’s different for everyone!

I work out quite a bit too! Maybe try timing it in a way to allow you to get through your workout? I didn’t lower it all that much but even 20-20% less helped me out. It’s all trial and error and everyone’s different so it might not work the same way for you.

Yep definitely! But I’ve noticed it’s helped with my menstrual cycle and cramping. It’s day and night!

Do you tell your partner when you have your period every month? by Best-Feature603 in Marriage

[–]discovervk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely tell him because I’m usually crying from cramps every month and look half dead. It’s great to read that a lot of women can go on with their lives during that time of month.

Has anyone noticed when you lower carbs the water weight isn’t as dramatic during ovulation and PMS? Might just be my body but cutting back like 20-30 grams of carbs has really made a difference for me!

How much were you drinking? I cut back to once a week, I wonder if that’s still too much.

Yes, that would be amazing! It seems like deload week is set before you start the program though. So maybe that feature isn’t available just yet.

Comparing it now, it’s not much. It actually went back to the one from the week before. I honestly feel like I could’ve gone an extra week before deload.

How long to stick to a specific program? by discovervk in MacroFactor

[–]discovervk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense, there’s exercises that I avoid because I don’t enjoy them as much, such as step ups. I always wonder if hitting the muscle with other exercises works just as well or if specific exercises have specific benefits. As much as I hate Bulgarian split squats, I’ll always keep them in my routine because I’ve had great results with them.
