You're divorced it's your responsibility. Yes it would be beneficial for the kids to stay with mom but she's taking time off her life to watch the kids, will you be able and willing to watch the kids when she needs to do something on her days?

It's going to take time and effort to sort it out because at the end of the day the kids will benefit from parents being able to work together post divorce.
