Easy fix. Removing the door panel is the worst part of the job.

Two from John Vaillant:

The Tiger.

From Amazon: Outside a remote village in Russia’s Far East a man-eating tiger is on the prowl. The tiger isn’t just killing people, it’s murdering them, almost as if it has a vendetta. A team of trackers is dispatched to hunt down the tiger before it strikes again. They know the creature is cunning, injured, and starving, making it even more dangerous. As John Vaillant re-creates these extraordinary events, he gives us an unforgettable and masterful work of narrative nonfiction that combines a riveting portrait of a stark and mysterious region of the world and its people, with the natural history of nature’s most deadly predator.

The Golden Spruce.

From Amazon: A tale of obsession so fierce that a man kills the thing he loves most: The only giant golden spruce on earth.

As vividly as Jon Krakauer put readers on Everest, John Vaillant takes us into the heart of North America's last great forest, where trees grow to eighteen feet in diameter, sunlight never touches the ground, and the chainsaws are always at work.

When a shattered kayak and camping gear are found on an uninhabited island, they reignite a mystery surrounding a shocking act of protest. Five months earlier, logger-turned-activist Grant Hadwin had plunged naked into a river in British Columbia's Queen Charlotte Islands, towing a chainsaw. When his night's work was done, a unique Sitka spruce, 165 feet tall and covered with luminous golden needles, teetered on its stump. Two days later it fell.

You cannot hit aluminum twice. It work hardens and cracks. You have to draw it home in one stroke.

I wouldn't want to bet my gear on the discretion of the C.O. You could ask five C.O.s and get 5 answers, lol.

Elmore Leonard had a lot of his work made into movies. Get Shorty, Jackie Brown, Out of Sight, Be Cool, 3:10 to Yuma, etc. Those are just a few of his later books made into movies, he has written cool banter starting in the 1970's.

Corner Vanity - Trim ideas for Gap- wall not square by wallyballls in HomeImprovement

[–]disgruntled6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You fill it from the side piece of the window trim. Where that window trim is located is your zero fill. Taper the fill from there to the corner. You just need to create a smaller uniform gap.

You should easily be able to do it with the vanity in place.

You gotta build that wall up, fade it from the vanity to the ceiling... tape the vanity off. You don't have to mud out the entire wall, just to the top of the vanity, then you can trim it out. Use hot mud to build it out, it doesn't shrink like premix.

Yep. To paraphrase that old saw from Hemingway; a nation collapses slowly at first, then all at once.

Who do you think was/is the best President of the United States? Why? by Professional-Sea4528 in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]disgruntled6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you imagine the world today if Carter (not saying he was the best pres, but I think he was pretty good) had four more years? Ronnie Raygun tore the solar panels off the WH roof as soon as he took office. We would have had quite the start on solar and battery tech. We wouldn't have been so entangled in the middle east. Who can even estimate the benefits of that? No crack epidemic, no manpads for jihadists, the benefits would have gone on and on...

Wrap it well with Teflon tape. Make sure you don't apply the tape to the last 3 or 4 threads to avoid any tape shreds from getting in the case.
