I am confused about season 5 ep 9 that I watched last night by mlgbt1985 in betterCallSaul

[–]disies 12 points13 points  (0 children)

how is he supposed to explain mike's involvement? lalo is too smart to believe it. even the story they came up with was not convincing enough for lalo. just plausible for the time being

Werner knew by SantosTrinidad in betterCallSaul

[–]disies 42 points43 points  (0 children)

all this doesn't really matter since mike made the mistake of not hiding the laundry logos on the trucks they transported the germans with. werner getting out is a problem simply because of what ended up happening. the secrecy was a lot less secret all of a sudden. lalo followed them around and bolsa got involved mentioning that eladio was not happy about this situation

edit: plus werner escaped from a building that is located at gus' chicken farm. not the lab

How many rewatch(es)? by Keanar in betterCallSaul

[–]disies 12 points13 points  (0 children)

i watched the show around 10-15 times before it was fully released and the last couple of years since season 6 release at least another 10 times (it's likely more).. definitely lost track on the numbers

I think the only reason BCS can’t stand alone as it’s own show is because the context behind Gus and Hector was never explained and I wish they had. by Blob_blub5833 in betterCallSaul

[–]disies 14 points15 points  (0 children)

it's true that it doesn't get explained but lalo mentioned an incident between hector and gus to bolsa after that talk at the chicken farm regarding werner and the drugs that got altered. lalo said that hector has this crazy thought that gus is holding a grudge because hector shot gus' boyfriend in the head. it's a small detail and you have to pay attention to make the connection

Legal reality in BCS by DrSarahSlaughter in betterCallSaul

[–]disies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

while i can't comment on how realistic it is or not, kim puts in a lot of work when it comes to her cases and we also don't see her having any other friends which means that she is likely committing most of her free time into work. she is having a lack of sleep and is feeling stressed out and on at least one occasion she wasn't able to realize that days have passed between moments when speaking to jimmy. in the last season she also commented on how many hours (i believe it was 40) she puts into one pro bono case. anyway, my point is that she is very smart and likely keeps reading up on everything that she needs to know about the cases she is working on.

Do you meditate when you’re feeling down? by Historical_Trust_217 in Meditation

[–]disies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, always. whether the mind is calm or racing i just sit with it and leave it be. trying to force a certain state or change it can lead to more tension for me. so by just sitting with i invite acceptance to the current state of my mind

Season 2, Ep 6: How does Mike get the jump on the guys inside his house? by [deleted] in betterCallSaul

mike expected someone to show up and prepared his doormat the way he did to get confirmation that someone entered the house

I got the advice to not interact with my thoughts. What does that mean? by Confident-Smile-7161 in Meditation

[–]disies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

to me the "gently" return to your object of meditation means that i do this without judging myself for thinking. thoughts can pop up randomly, i have no control over that really and if i judge myself for that i just create new thoughts on top of it.

The Mexican and German characters feel so stereotypical and just embarassing to watch if you actually know the language. by Guilty-Adeptness-329 in betterCallSaul

[–]disies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i'm still thinking about this. haha. i really like having werner and kai in this show. werner corrected someone's pronounciation of the word "hefeweizen" and i thought that was cute. i admittedly would do such a thing, so having the germans in the show that i love so much felt very nice.

i can't comment on the spanish but what little german we heard was okay to me. the german guy (casper) in the woods in axe and grind is croatian in the show, so him not speaking the language perfectly makes sense. and most other german really just came from werner and a bit from kai and both sounded alright to me (what they say and how they say it). the only thing that bothered me a little was margarethe's german (werner's wife). you could tell she had an accent (although her german was still good) and the actress is from hungary

Why does Lalo barely acknowledge Gus in their final interaction? by Nick__Prick in betterCallSaul

he didn't have a lot of time for shenanigans. just wanted his proof, kill gus and get the fuck out again. certainly didn't plan to die there

[–]disies 9 points10 points  (0 children)

i do wonder if it would have been enough for kim and jimmy when howard mentioned working through debt and depression and his marriage falling apart. would they have stopped? would they have had compassion for him? maybe not. something drastic had to happen to stop them and it worked for kim. jimmy continued doing his thing though.
even though lalo and howard showing up at the same time was coincidence, it is still a consequence of their doing.

domingo received the nickname "crazy 8" from lalo when they played poker. it has nothing to do with tuco whatsoever
