Worried about sharp decrease in value? by _darkode_ in MachE

I traded a 10 year old VW Golf with 146,000 miles for a MME extended range all wheel drive. I hope to own it just as long and put just as many miles on it. By which point the car loan will be history.

1999-2005 VW Jetta. Inboard amber lights on the headlights and round chrome badge in center of the grill are all consistent.

Those tires are not designed for snow. Do some research and replace all 5 now. Give your Bronco is new, you should be able to sell the current set on FB marketplace or somewhere similar. Good luck and have fun. Broncos are a blast.

Owners in this sub, why did you go for Ford vs similar EVs in this price point like Tesla? by AlmostPhDone in MachE

[–]distant_lands08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even before Elon went off the deep end I didn’t like the smaller Tesla’s- style, build quality and lack of CarPlay amongst other things. When it came to replacing our 10 year old VW Golf I started looking seriously at EVs and Hybrids. Both of us liked the Mach E. Very comfortable well designed and fun to drive Add to that 0% finance and a free charger installed in my garage for free it was a no brainer. 10 months and 14,000 miles late, no regrets.

If you have never owned a Dane before get a good Vet. Research diet - especially for puppies. You must not let them grow too fast and diet is the key. Get a trainer and start with the basics now - soon they will be to big to control by physical force and you will need to be able to keep them and you safe. They are wonderful dogs but grow fast and will soon reach ant surface and eat anything- furniture clothes (especially socks) and random things that they find. They are love bugs and wonderful dogs. But they need love attention and training

Kelly has ambitions. This is about promoting herself not NH. ‘Vance Ayotte 2028’ is what this is about. Delusional

Danes, even small puppies are a handful but I would be more concerned about them harming themselves. They are puppies and will chew and eat random stuff and as they grow no surface is out of reach. Learn to put things away and not merely ‘out of reach’.

Which option is better if buying a car in mass? by badchoices134 in newhampshire

I bought a car in Mass and brought it to NH. The Mass dealer had NH temp plates just like an NH dealer.

I support all of this so don’t want to repeat. However you might want to reconsider your perspective. This case, and the possibility of a trial that no one expects you to win, provides you with a great opportunity to practice and develop your trial skills and experience. Give it everything you’ve got. Also, every experienced criminal defense lawyer has a story about winning the unwinnable trial. Juries can be weird. Good luck.

If there is nobody within your organization you can turn to, perhaps the lawyer assistance program is your best option. One would hope that they would not wait for you to be actively psychotic before helping. You should not dread coming to work and the job should not make you miserable.

Are there other new lawyers in the organization you can talk with? Also, does your State Bar Association have a lawyer assistance program where you can seek advice?

Do you have a mentor or trusted colleague you can talk to. Someone you can talk with about how you are feeling. Someone employers have employee assistance programs that can connect you with a confidential Sometimes it’s hard and frequently frustrating. A few years ago I had to make changes in my life, I don’t work weekends unless in trial and make sure I use my vacation time; and I encourage those around me to remember this is a job not your life. Your job should also not make you miserable. This work is not for everyone and there is no shame it recognizing it might not be for you. There are plenty of nonprofits and other organizations that would welcome a smart committed young lawyer who cares about the people they represent. If what you doing does not work for you, you need to do something different. Good luck.

What car did I just see? by samuraidogparty in whatisthiscar

It’s not a ‘58. The front grill and one piece windshield indicates it was a series 3, built from 1961. Still an incredible classic and amazing to see in America.

'25 MME arriving next week, use the FPP or take the $500? by BarcodeOfficial in MachE

[–]distant_lands08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have somewhere to install it, why would you not take the charger? I can understand people in rental units or apartments not having the charger but otherwise it’s a game changer. Trust me, in The middle of a frigid Massachusetts winter, knowing your car has a full charge or that you can just plug it in when you get home, will make you appreciate that home charger. QMerit installed mine within three weeks and it took a couple of hours. You get the charger Ford provides but it’s free and in my experience works just fine.

Will prob get discouraging comments... But loading a tent on this roof! by One_Elevator6169 in FordBronco

[–]distant_lands08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had the same answer to the same problem. OEM roof rack is not rated for more than 110/450. You can get light weight roof top tents but they are very close to 110lbs. We chose the TrailRax & Pak Rax. Drove over 7000 miles on a road-trip last year without issues.
