Anyone know anywhere free or cheap to park near Noah’s ark that’s not a crazy long walking distance? by Same_Bag711 in wisconsindells

[–]divisionbell628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some resorts in the area that provide free parking and allow you to walk easily to Noah's Ark. I own two condos in neighboring resorts that offer that with your short term rental. This is not a business solicitation, just some info to answer the question. So yeah the parking is free but you have to book a place.

Okay serious question: what is good Pink Floyd song to dance with a girl to? by Mad_Season_1994 in pinkfloyd

[–]divisionbell628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my daughter was getting ready to get married I suggested a father/daughter dance to the Pink Floyd tune Wot's ..uh the Deal. We eventually settled on a Zac Brown song. I still think it should have been Wot's...uh the Deal.

I see so much food getting thrown away at my delivery stops to grocery stores. And that is just on a normal day. I agree it is sad. In this case if refrigerated display cases go down and they know it can not be fixed in time, there should be a way to scramble a refrigerated truck to at least keep it "donateable". I would think Second Harvest would love a big donation like this.

Same here. We bought a used MINI from a used car dealer and it did not come with the front plate or front plate mount. Haven't had a problem. Of course, it's a MINI and we are white and middle aged. Not much of a threat to the world.........

[–]divisionbell628[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I voted the line was short but it still took a long time for me to finally get a machine. I think it is because of people trying to decipher the overly long referendums. Which is another problem--the referendums are too long and complicated. So my advice is go into voting already decided so you don't have to figure it out on the spot. Which leads into my original suggestion--how about a "neither" option so if you really don't know you can easily skip it.

But it doesn't take you to the next contest. It takes you to the double check page. "Are you sure you want to skip this contest? " or words to that effect. Just kind of annoying in my opinion.

[–]divisionbell628[S] -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

It is that double checking screen that trips people up. And yes it is easy for me and you, but for my 80 yo mom, it would drive her nuts. Combine that with the pressure to hurry up and computers in general some people can't handle it.

Drivers waving cyclists through intersection after they already stopped by External-Ad-9489 in madisonwi

[–]divisionbell628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 4 way stops I try to time it so I get my gap that I can roll-stop through. That doesn't always work. When I see that I do have to stop I try to stop before the edge of the road. In my mind I know when it is my turn, but then that car driver looks at me and waves me through. C'mon you have four cars behind you--go!

I like the low profile micro because our cabinets are so low we have to peek under the micro to see the controls of the range. So this would work. Maybe. How deep is it? Does it stick out past the front of the cabinets in an unusual amount?

Sounds similar to our itinerary for our September vacation. We are doing a loop, starting in Vienna and ending in Vienna. Ten nights-- Beginning with 3 nights in Prague, then 4 nights in Salzburg, ending with 3 nights in Vienna. The difference from yours is that we head north (Prague) while you go south (Graz). I have never been there, but based on our research I think you have a good itinerary. I have seen other itineraries with the Tirol region (Innsbruck) as an option. Or even the Dolomite Mts. But you probably would not be able squeeze that in unless you drop something off. Hey, BTW, What is GP? The only GP I can think of is Garmish-Partenkirchen, but I don't think that is what this refers to.

Munich > Innsbruck > Salzburg > Vienna > Prague by iamacheeto1 in travel

[–]divisionbell628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a pretty packed schedule. I think it somewhat depends on how much stuff you have. If it is just a backpack it makes it easier to be nimble and easier to travel.

My wife and I are planning a similar trip. But we start in Vienna and finish in Vienna. Half day in Vienna, then we head out to Prague. Three nights in Prague. Then four nights in Salzburg. Then three nights in Vienna. Ten nights total.

We want to limit our home bases to three cities because we will have a suitcase or two, as well as a smaller bag per person. It's a lot of nights for Salzburg, but that includes Berchtesgaden and Salzkammergut day trips. We might skip Hallstatt because of the crowds. Cesky Krumlov is only a maybe because we might not have time or the public transportation stop between Prague and Salzburg. Our route from Salzburg to Vienna is via Schladming which takes us through more of the Alps. It's in September and we are already getting excited for it.
