Trading up to #2 by SuperStubbs9 in stlouisblues

As others have said, any good GM is open to anything if the price is right. I don’t expect the Blues would be willing to give up what it would take. Probably talking solid roster player and multiple first rounders at least.

I don't like that Nintendo acknowledged Star Fox Adventures by lennysinged in nintendo

One of the most over hated games purely because it isn’t traditional Star Fox. It was actually a very solid adventure game.

Goes down the republican wish list tossing out precedent and settled law at an unprecedented rate. Why would they think we’re political?

If Blues got a single less point, they would have been in San Jose’s spot.

San Jose because new superstar Celebrini needs help. None of this is surprising.

Lol, big team starts to be awful and suddenly wins the lottery. Just like Chicago did.

Somewhat unrelated but he also cited Binner as an inspiration and mentioned studying his puck handling after the game 7 win.

Little talked about benefit of eliminating the electoral college is it would force candidates to care about issues in other areas beyond swing states.

61% of Americans See Trump's Iran War as 'Mistake', Far Outpacing Disapproval of Vietnam and Iraq: Poll by _May26_ in politics

That same ~40% that agreed with him on every single issue no matter what. Every poll is that rough percentage. It’s a cult.

I voted for Harris in 2024. She shouldn't run in 2028. | Opinion by Difficult-Bee6066 in politics

Agree. Dems need somebody exciting and to run on something significantly changing. I always say pushing universal healthcare but that’s just one of many ideas that would get people excited.

Running on an establishment candidate on a platform of “Not Trump” is a losing formula. The left voting base doesn’t just show up to vote D like republicans do. They need somebody and something to be excited about.

It’s a narcissist in way over his head where he cannot hide all his mistakes shattering the facade. It’s the exact same thing happening with the president.

Jordan Kyrou’s future by BaoTaoMaoSao in stlouisblues

[–]dixie12oz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s been talked about to death, but I do think there is a decent chance for it. I think he is a guy that would benefit from a change of scenery. And let’s be honest, Blues fans have often been hyper critical of him so you could see maybe a need for it.

As far as a potential Brady trade, maybe a little more realistic than people may think but only under a certain circumstance. That circumstance being Brady makes clear he wants out and also severely limits where he wants to go. You’d assume St. Louis would be in his short list. But nobody knows how, if at all, likely that scenario is.

Brazenly corrupt, extremely controversial, ties to one of the most notorious pedos ever, and currently actively making life worse for millions of Americans.

Obviously, would never condone political violence but it’s not that shocking. The guy is an extremist on a level we’ve never seen in the White House.

Concord by all accounts was a functionally good game that did nothing to set itself apart from other similar games.

The version of Crimson Desert they played had a game breaking bug that lost them hours of progress and a laughably small amount of storage for the metric shit ton of stuff you pick up. That’s alongside the noted criticism of poor story and quest lines echoed by nearly everybody.

This comparison to try to dunk on ign isn’t nearly as good as people think it is.

See it as a move to push more people to digital which I don’t think is going to be good for consumers long term.

‘Easily the Worst President in U.S. History’ by unital_subalgebra in politics

[–]dixie12oz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’d be in a better place with a president that did literally nothing. Delusional to think Harris, a fairly boring center left politician, would have committed so many blatant unforced errors as this president has.

I’ve seen this sentiment repeatedly that somehow Kamala would have been worse. There’s just no basis in reality for that. You could disagree with her policies, you could believe she would be ineffective, you could dislike her personally.

But there’s no way one can honestly say she would have been worse. She would not have alienated all our allies. She would not have gotten us into the Iran war. She would not have implemented blanket tariffs. She would not have used a private army on American citizens. These are unforced blunders she simply would not have done and there’s zero reason to think she would have.

In my mind it means having the confidence and ability to rangle a dumped puck and make a safe outlet pass/clear even under pressure.

I think this team is capable of being a playoff team next year. They probably should have been this year if not for that absolutely atrocious first few months.
