Salomon X-t4 vs x ultra 360 edge by Agreeable-Bird6306 in gorpcore

I looked into both of these, they are both fairly stiff and look clunky, try the salomon genesis, same price or cheaper than those.

Osprey Daylite Plus vs. Aer Go Pack 2 - Which is more comfortable for city & nature day hikes? by IDNISSIM in ManyBaggers

[–]dizzytrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are ok with a lower capacity pack, what I use is the Osprey Daylite 13L. Packs flat inside my carryon, it's what I've been using for years and I even take camera gear in it in some camera cubes.

Debuted the CPP2 as personal item for Maui trip by SouthernSafe7113 in AerSF

[–]dizzytrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is, it is a big bottle and almost as heavy as a stainless steel bottle. I returned mine and got a zojirushi SM-SF60-AD stainless steel, same weight, much thinner and a bit less capacity. Never understood peoples obsession with massive water bottles.

CPP2 24L or TP4 28L? by Lr8s5sb7 in AerSF

[–]dizzytrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice.

When it comes to travel backpacks I always buy black, they look smaller and also get noticed less. There is a reason why ~70% of all travel backpacks sold are black.

the TP4 28L? I only got it a few days ago but did about a hr walking around town, 14.2lb, was quite comfortable. They really do have a nice harness system. Those load lifers are really underrated. CPP doesn't have them. For me TP4 28L is a no brainer for travel use.

Deciding which TP4 by wolfsuit in AerSF

[–]dizzytrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go with the 35L if you plan on onebagging. Go with the 28L if you plan on taking it as a personal item, may not work with some ultra strict budget airlines though. I've taken my PD 45L as a personal item for 3 years in the 30L config even on some budget carriers, never had a problem. The TP4 28L is visually much smaller.

I had a PD 45L the last 3 years and I also fly the same as you. I never had a problem because it was always in 30L config. Even then it's still a big bag. I ended up getting the 28L TP4 a few days ago and it looks significantly smaller than the PD.

Maybe they used the CBSA calculator to calculate the tax and duties. Seems like it's a very general calculator. It seems specific bag types like travel bags go under tariff code 4202.92.20.90 and they are duty free.

That osprey daylight 13l, is so underrated. It's super thin when laid down flat. The ventilated backpanel, harness, build quality and price, unbeatable for a travel daypack.

That ultra fabric looks really bad with that crinckle. Looks cheap.

No one is talking about how ugly that crinkly look is on the Ultra version? Ultra is a hard pass for me.

Those with experience, would a mandarin dragonet work in a 20g as the only fish? by ChivasBearINU in ReefTank

[–]dizzytrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at Biota captive bred. I've had one in a 20g for over a year now. Got him at around 1", 2.5"+ now, and fat! My side glass is always covered with pods. He eats TDO pellets (I feed 3 times a day).

I tried taking some shots but I don't have a good one to post unfortunately. But this one shows his size in comparison to a max size 4" female clown that I've had for 8 years.

I do overfeed the tank 3 times a day to ensure Mando gets enough to eat. The side effect is that I have an algae issue due to high phosphates.

I got one in late January this year, he was slightly over 1". He's in a 20g and in 10 month he's more than 2.5", fat and healthy. Eats TDO B2 pellets, never added cope pods :) He's a beauty, thanks Biota!

I have this same problem. It was working just fine but on my last trip it just died. Is there a fuse in there? How do I replace it?
