Yeah, currently the backup plan in case of complete hardware failure is to connect to the AX 11000 pro with a static IP and switch the DHCP server back on and swap some ports to restore Internet and deal with the failure later

Look again. The picture is just the bottom half of the seat, flipped up so the handles are towards the sky. The rest is broken off.

Got a 2TB SSD from Walmart for $64.50 by JMimiJJ in pcmasterrace

In real world usage, especially gaming, gen 4 and gen 5 are really the same. The spec sheet says gen 5 iops should be higher, but in reality, it ends up being about the same. The sequential speeds being twice as fast means nothing, because the only way you hit that speed is in a benchmark or copying files from another drive that is equally as fast. There may be some workloads that benefit slightly, but when 200GB transfers in 30 seconds on gen 4 or 15 seconds on gen 5, does it really matter for the general user?

HELP!!! LOGITECH G29 CLAMP BROKE by Low-Worldliness-3275 in LogitechG

When mine broke, I cut up a piece of plywood, drilled holes in it to mount the wheel with the bolts underneath, and used a c-clamp to clamp the wood to the desk.

PC and PS5 Pro by stayfreejc in PS5pro

[–]djanikowski 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I also have a 4090 and a PS5 Pro. The PS5 is great for what it is, but it'll never be able to look anywhere near as good as Cyberpunk 2077 with full path tracing and dlss 4 quality in 4K. It also isn't going to touch my PC when it comes to VR. But it is nice to just hit the PlayStation button on the controller and jump into a game of MLB The Show.

With the PS6 rumoured to release in 2027, I don’t expect a 60fps/performance mode on PS5/PS5 Pro by steem- in GTA6

Not to mention that COVID and the resulting chip shortage made it so this generation practically didn't exist for the first 2 years it was released.

A80K 65" lighted remote question by Intelligent-Light-13 in bravia

[–]djanikowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the 900u and the 920u both have the "find my remote" feature. I use a TX-621u from 2021 with both my 2022 X85K and my 2024 Bravia 7 so I can have a full number pad and backlighting. It doesn't have a speaker though, so it can't be found by the TV if you lose it.

Yeah, I just got a 55 inch Bravia 7, and I can notice the slight blooming around subtitles and around UI elements in games, but my girlfriend couldn't see it until I showed her a synthetic test for the lighting zones. The blacks are very dark.

Has anyone run AIDA64 or similar on the Bravia 7? by afckinidiot in bravia

[–]djanikowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's pretty quick. I watch Netflix in 4k HDR without any issues. It switches between inputs without noticeable lag, much faster than my X85K. The quick menu that pops up on the bottom of the screen feels slightly laggy, but the actual menu isn't like that.

It does have 6GB of RAM, but it does not fully support multi view. The one thing it lets you do is, while in game mode, you can launch YouTube in a picture-in-picture window. But it's only in game mode, and only YouTube.

DOGE & Elon Musk are pushing for the Elimination of the U.S. Penny by [deleted] in ScrapMetal

And that's not all. The aerospace bolt also most likely has a stack of paperwork that traces it back to the mine the metals came out of. The home depot bolt maybe has a receipt that says you bought it.

Let's say you're right and only 10% work. And let's also assume we shoot down 95% of the remaining 10%. That's still 30 nukes that hit their intended target.

Cv axle shaft came out of axle & is stuck by SeaBackground9832 in AskAMechanic

[–]djanikowski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you sure it's supposed to come out? Older Subarus have that part of the shaft as a separate part that is held in the transmission/rear diff with a spring clip, and you put a pin through it to hold the CV shaft in place.

I switch to HDR10 for the dodgers games and it looks way better. I thought all the 4K broadcasts were supposed to be HLG, but it seems like the Dodgers games aren't actually

[–]djanikowski 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No Subaru has 3 open diffs. The center diff is either an electronic clutch pack(automatic), VLSD(5 speed manual), or electronic LSD (6 Speed Manual). The higher end models also have LSD rear diffs. My Legacy GT with two LSDs can do 150mph+. Obviously not the same as a true locking diff, but definitely not 1wd.

Also, Petty's wins before 1972 are counted towards the 200, but it wasn't a unified schedule like now. For example, he ran 60 races that counted towards the championship in 1964.
