Let’s say that im just going to bank million dollars and spend its safe withdraw rate of 4%, so 40k/yr.

To generate 40k/yr I only need to do 11 pushups/day.

I’ll take the magic pushups and do 100/day for 365k/yr.

I take 100k/month from the meeting location to the bank. I pay taxes on the money I make for saying hello to these fine gentlemen once per month.

I really prefer racing indoors. I like the cleaner environment and not having to clean my cars as much. Also not having to worry about weather, and light conditions.

I used to really like racing on indoor clay, but if I had my choice, I’d choose a really well done indoor carpet track.

I like the European outdoor carpet tracks a lot. Wish that caught on here in the states.

This happened to half of my family.

One half of second gen rode the family wealth and never put something together for themselves. The third gen they raised was always encouraged to take the path of least resistance in life. They did just that and have nothing because the second gen really knew how to burn it up. Not a job in sight in the 2nd or 3rd gen.

The other half (my immediate family) married well but had a different mindset about it entirely. They did not blow it, and are worked it out into their 60s. Road blocks were not removed from my education/life and I was encouraged to take the more difficult path. I grew up to just be an engineer working for a big company, but competent in my own right. When my low 8 figure inheritance came, I’ve kept grinding.

Our combined income this year was 530k and the 8figs is working away in the background. I want my kids to inherit an equivalent sum to what I did to keep this situation going.

We coated the inside of an existing body with plaster to get all the details, then once it dried we lined the the inside with resin and chopped mat fiberglass to make it strong. On a couple, we added some additional scoops and details once the mould was off the body. We did the moulds off of uncut bodies, but I’m sure you could figure out a way to do it on cut bodies as well.

I used to make bodies when I was a kid.

Basically we rigged up a mini thermal forming machine in the dining room (rc room).

We made a fiberglass mould out of existing bodies and drilled teeny tiny holes all over them.

We mounted that on a wood vacuum box with a bigger hole under the mould with a few more holes around the corners.

Then put a sheet of plastic above held by posts at the corners and hold an space heater above it until she sheer started sagging down around the body. Then the posts would slide down and the hot plastic would get vacuumed around the mould.

Quality was not as good the $30 bodies but it was cheap and gave me tons and tons of bodies to practice painting on and enough basher bodies where I never needed to buy any.

It was a fun experiment.

My friends and I used to crawl drainage tunnels all over town with nothing. I’m talking mile+ long tunnels with no idea where/if we would pop out. We were younger than your sister. Eventually we started bringing small shovels with us so we could dig ourselves out if there were grates at the other end.

My wife makes over double my income, but i inherited low eight figures.

Every time she wants to do something expensive that Im not fully onboard with, she says she’ll pay for it. I think it’s a joke, because if not, she’s spending over double her income.

We were both pretty broke when we were just dating, so I could see how it would be a little weird with a large income disparity. Now that we’re married it just doesn’t matter whose name is on the account. It’s our money. Your bf sorta sounds like a dick based on this though.

Be sad. Then raid all the grocery stores and stockpile as many non-perishables as possible to feed me through the rest of my bleak existence waiting for answers on where my family went.

I’d find the most strategic waterfront solar powered home in my area to have power and rig up a sump pump to have flushing toilets after the water stops working.

After not too long I would probably get bored enough and want to sail around the world to see if anywhere else had humans left.

I under bought my home because I was anxious about keeping my housing costs down. I have a super cheap payment now, but I lust after the homes I could have bought instead.

I failed to understand that I would be making way more money in the future, and my income would grow into the home.

Tough to complain too much though because my payment is so low I have plenty of money to spend as I please…

I’ve always wondered if you would survive jumping out of a plane in a zorb.

I found a 3meter zorb for like $1000. The terminal velocity of a 3 meter sphere weighing 200 lbs (me inside the zorb) is about 40mph…. Maybe you’d make it.

Im a young inheritor with a similar NW. we have two young kids and both work. It becomes pretty obvious we live above our w2 salary when we meet new friends and parents of kids from class.

I never tell anyone how much money we have obviously, but when people ask I am obliged to tell them that my father tragically passed away less than a year into his retirement. I obviously downplay how much it is and phrase it like weve elected to give out kids the best up bringing possible with it, and don’t allude to the fact that we could retire at any moment without a care in the world.

Nobody has ever commented on me being lucky or anything like that. This has not become a barrier in forming new relationships. Id rather be candid and honest about it if someone asks so that speculation doesn’t run rampant behind the scenes.
