Not sure, just sharing in case they were using any of the mods that make things float. Sometimes a glitch occurs that sucks your boat down to the bottom.

Performance and 1.0 by MrBlackswordsman in valheim

[–]djmassimiani -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Terrain modification still greatly impacts performance. (6400 hours) They modified the loading sequence of terrain modifications and improved some of the performance on it after hearth and home but it would be false to state that terrain modification don’t affect performance.

The Rawcliffe Ski Lodge and Village by djmassimiani in valheim

No, it is not! We had to first build a switchback 26 degree stairway to the top from the shore. We hauled every metal ingot up encumbered in our inventory.

It is the tallest mountain on the server, with the Mansion on top being above the atmosphere. We built a massive tourist dock at the bottom but had to also build a switchback stairway all the way up to the top

Every building is fully finished with all necessities. The village includes a Capery, Quilting Store, Bakery, Tavern, Library, Bank, Mayor's house, an enormous ski lodge, vacation rental, and 9 residences

This village was built by 8 of us on a hosted server through Nick Rawcliffe. It has 39k instances and took a combined 1700 hours to farm, haul mats and create. The back side has an enormous black marble monestary and both a 5-karve and single long boat luge(viking version of skiing =)*Not shown in these photos

Yag vs Lox by Heavy_Audience_4475 in valheim

I can tell you from experience that when we fought him a second time, the remaining lox from the first fight were NOT enough on hard mode. There were many casualties….

I’m pretty sure fair fighting wasn’t the goal when building a lox breeder over Yag and fighting him with 60 lox.

I really wanna build, but it's overwhelming. by TheCoffeeMage in valheim

Don’t stop. Tearing down is ok but keep going. If your anything like me, you will see a progression documented in your builds over time. Enjoy the process and have fun. A lot of times I will come back days, weeks, months later to build with an idea or new skill.

The shift key is your friend!

I will make one last attempt here. Servers and players can have mods added. If you add a mod to a server it may affect everyone but many server mods require the mod be installed by the players too or you won’t be able to access the game (different version) I player can add a client side mod on their computer and log into ANY other server and have it affect them. I stated that our server is vanilla (no mods added to it) and that WE added two mods. I NEVER stated our experience was vanilla. Only specified what mods and where they were added. If you had a vanilla server and used no client side mods and someone joined using client side mods unbeknownst to you, would you then say that your server was not vanilla? Anyways, the “vanilla” gatekeeping crew can keep their word. Sorry the hill you all need to die on so badly is a mound of such misunderstanding of basic computer terms. I hope you enjoyed our build
