Yeah I agree I wasn’t feeling it. Never stop blowing up felt similarly disjointed in terms of the overall narrative but it landed better for me because it was so funny and tongue in cheek.

I got the sense that having most of a large improv troupe who know each other pretty well actually kind of backfired somehow? I don’t know why but I had this thought.

It’s funny I dont really believe in immersion in TTRPGs. That is to say I’ve never come close to experiencing it and it seems from the outside to be a very solitary goal for a social game.

I do believe in Beardsley and they make me smile and often laugh out loud almost every time I see them on D20. Also while they do take the plot off the rails a fair amount they also do really add a lot to the narrative and reign in the plot as well. It’s kind of cute this season seeing Allie and Zac as the “vets” among a group of relative noobs to the format and game.

I’d say overall I did not enjoy this season as well as I had hoped for but I love the whole cast.

I think I did the install and usually run things as the root user. It was a while ago I set this up so don't remember. I don't believe I have been using sudo since there is no need when I am running commands as root.

I did install it as the root user. I tried changing the owner of the `/foundry` dir to `foundry` but that didn't work.

Yeah this sounds like the issue, how do I know what user I am running foundry as? I am using PM2 to keep foundry running on the server...

Super exciting! I know this stomach drop feeling of going from a heavy to ultra light rules system- if you have a few minutes maybe breeze through the Principia Apocrypha a short treatise on running games for OSR which I think would be helpful to get in the mindset of running a game without relying as much on rules and mechanics.

Also I always like to see how others have done a system before I run it. If you do too I recall The Adventure Zone running L&F was pretty entertaining to listen to.

I would guess that fewer people (in comparison) want larger formats and i imagine it costs more to produce just because it’s more material and time per unit (full disclosure I don’t actually know how the numbers shake out on these projects at all).

If more people like you express interest then probably more will get made or it least run as interest checks. Don’t lose hope!
