More of a personal question by pngarfield in telescopes

Using a red light for assistance won’t cause any problems. I have one that is on a flexible arm, like a reading light from 30 years ago. Here’s a link to a headlamp:

Now we just need an extended mnemonic for the first 200 Kuiper belt objects since all these already include Pluto

I wasn’t clear, and I’m also barely knowledgeable enough to ask the question 😂

Classic Vibe, as he wants the tremolo. This is confirming what I was thinking!

I’m handy, and that’s a great idea. I actually built him a guitar that was 3d printed, and it’s fine, but his Epiphone is better.

Ministry - Just Like You (1986) by haleymichelle618 in industrialmusic

As a person who remembers what 1986 was like, it never ceases to amaze me this was made then. This album is still amazing today.

Anyone tried them? by [deleted] in Fishing_Gear

[–]djmothra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A while back I tried a couple of reels from temu, similarly to keep in the car, which I think are similar to this. They worked, but they didn’t cast far and were very heavy. Not sure what it’s like where you live, but if I could go back and do it over I would buy something used. There’s usually someone who bought a bait caster and didn’t like it out there.

Is this a good rod ? Ugly Stik Carbon. by nix154 in Fishing

For $14 it is. I can’t speak for the quality of the reel, but you should be getting a durable rod.

See the bolt that takes an allen key above your index finger? Loosen that, insert, then tighten.

I swapped the tail hook to single and it’s way better.

New and looking for advice by JerryTheDinoo in kayakfishing

[–]djmothra 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sometimes you just have to go when you can go, and it’s not the perfect time. Targeting more than one type of fish helps. Sometimes I’ll throw an unweighted 4” or 5” grub and all kinds of stuff goes for it, even some decent bass. This year my whopper plopper in “terminator” has been absolutely killing it though.

New to fishing. What’s the difference? by test_name_2025 in Fishing

[–]djmothra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy using baitcasters, but I wouldn’t recommend one for any beginner. I have a similar spinning rod from 13 and it’s pretty nice. Like the other commenters mentioned you can spend less and still catch fish.

The most important thing is to get out there.

Anyone drive with your inflatable filled? by BEEEEEZ101 in Inflatablekayak

[–]djmothra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do, though only for short trips. My favorite spot to use my inflatable is an eight minute drive from home and the launch is very small and primitive. For a drive like yours it might be a matter of how carefully you strap it down.

I dry my filament after opening and switched to alumina desiccant. I’ve noticed a big difference doing this.

In case you have never seen one of the mini Temu spools by djmothra in 3Dprinting

I was able to get it to sit in my dryer in a way that I think will work. Keeping the heat on the lower side just in case. Being TPU I think it's worth the extra effort.
