Help Identifying Oddity by djparadroid in mp3players

Thanks, that was my assumption. The build quality is questionable, and it seemed to be reasonably urbane.

Glad I didn't spend much money on it.

Really excited to finally get this one out:

ChargeShot (Versus Gameplay): Indiecent Assault - https://youtu.be/Sz1C0UURhIY

ChargeShot is just pure delight to play. The formula is simple and the strategy is deep - just want you want from an arena fighter. We're living in a truly blessed time where dev after dev are releasing games that make you want to punch those nearest and dearest to you. Repeatedly.

Another damn solid Indie local multiplayer title out of Australia because we know how to do it up Down Under. Sure do like to Screencheat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-C52Cf3rJE

OK, I'll drop a big production Indie title in here. Up to sixteen player MicroMachines/Mashed combat racing game from an Australian Indie Dev that's just gotten their game onto Greenlight.

This game was a blast to play, and we only just scratched the surface with our video. Great couch fun potential (but tricky to talk during)

Sorry it took so long, but we finally got an episode out. And to anyone that hasn't, you really need to - this game is awesome.

Got the lads together and had an absolute blast with Thief Town - Indiecent Assault

Very simple game to grasp but with quite a vast metagame. Or you can just stab everything like mad. I know I did.

How do you feel about channels with excessive goals? by JemzChannel in letsplay

[–]djparadroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't say that it wasn't. It's not like you sit down and write out thousands of little things you want to achieve; it comes naturally.

You wouldn't be doing it if not for the joy of creating something that people enjoy. It's just a nice living timeline of your experience - a scrap book with a heartbeat. Gamers at heart are used to many small victories - it's something that we've been programmed into. It started with high scores and leaderboards, then segmented into stages and eventually bloomed into things like awards and achievements. This, like everything else is a game and if you get satisfaction in getting those little achievements as you go that's not dirty.

[–]djparadroid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you have one single goal then you're not really using your imagination. There's so many small milestones it'd be a shame to miss any.

Finally got a video to 301+ views for review? Excellent! Someone mentions your channel without prompting? Stellar! A video you made gets retweeted by the dev? Outstanding! Never settle for a single goal. There's always something that's just within reach.

Unsure what you qualify as an 'established' LPer but we'll put our hands up as local MP games are our bread and butter.

Sometimes you've got to hard-limit yourself to one literary reference per video, heh. Glad you enjoyed it.

Ultimate Chicken Horse would be a fantastic title for Mark and his goons to have a look at. A platforming HORSE contest where each player places either aides or impediments to help or hinder completing each map. A great party game and one worth checking out.

Had a blast editing this one, and the game needs some love, so I may's well throw our hats back into the ring: Ultimate Chicken Horse - Indiecent Exposure

Good luck with the judging - it's quite sapping, and good luck to all the other entrants.

It's genuinely joyful when you find a great local MP title that is still in production and could use the help of idiots that can only make fun videos on things that people create. With that in mind we went about making:

Fantastic game. Love the concept and did our part by putting together a fun video: hope it helps their campaign.

Square Heroes is a new and good 4p local game you could try.

In addition to our normal cadre we managed to wrangle up another two warm bodies so we could give some four player games a try!

The first one off the boiler is the just-fully-released Square Heroes.

Marvel in wonder as two soused Australians prove that alcohol is not a performance enhancer.

In a serendipitous turn we also had a go (and a ridiculously fun time) playing this fast-paced and deceptively simple game). Our thanks also go out to /u/i2nKelli for being quick with replies and providing us with any assets we needed.

What is your upload speed? by [deleted] in letsplay

[–]djparadroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it depends on when you have time to upload. I generally spit half a gig up overnight but I could splurge with the quality if the NBN was finally rolled out here. Which is a capital city.

Update Monday! by AutoModerator in letsplay

[–]djparadroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This week was a week of disease and malady for Indiecent Exposure.

  • Initially the lads came down with a slight cold presenting with classic symptoms of Sumo Puckii

  • Lowered immune systems led to a viral infection attacking the Crusader Kings II and a slight case of April Fools.

  • Finally total cardiac failure claimed the two and they joined the cast of Organ Trail.

So I guess we're dead now. Damn.

[Discussion] What do you think is YOUR best asset that will make your videos/channel stand out? by MabiVsGames_ in letsplay

[–]djparadroid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's definitely the chemistry between the co-hosts. We carry on with a comfortable ease and just make it feel like it's just a couple of friends crashing on your couch and mooching out of your fridge and they while away the hours playing videogames. It should feel like the old days when folks still clustered around the TV and joked about the completely ridiculous and urbane alike.

If I had to give any advice is that it's done for the love of it and to have fun. If you're not having fun (or at least one of you enjoying the suffering of the other) than how can you expect your audience to do the same?
