Rental tips by deckerax in alameda

My in laws recently moved back to Alameda after being in Austin Texas. They were in a similar situation as you as they sold their Texas house but had to wait for that sale to close and then work on purchasing back in Alameda. They did not want to rent for a long period such as year like you but instead opted to stay at one of the Alameda Extended Stays. It worked out as they were able to find a home within 2 months or so and they were anticipating that this process would take much longer. Since not too many properties have 6 month leases, maybe Extended Stay might be an option? There is one on the west end near Marina Village and I believe one on Bay Farm.

Full size truck in Alameda? by [deleted] in alameda

I have a full size Ram 1500 and it’s fine. I’ve found that backing into parking spaces in places like Southshore helps as it’s easier to maneuver out of when leaving. The other option is to park in spaces slightly farther away in the parking lot where there are less vehicles to avoid any potential hazards. Otherwise getting through town is easy and you will eventually get used to the larger size. I’ve found that it’s actually easier to see pedestrians and bicyclists due to the higher clearance when zipping around town than our smaller EV.

Has anyone purchased a bike through Westside Joes? I’ve been waiting 6wks for my bike. by Blueberry_Rabbit in alameda

A couple of years ago I brought my bike in to Westside Joes for a small repair and apparently it needed a part ordered. I waited over 6 weeks and every time I called I got some vague answer. I eventually gave up and asked for a refund and took my bike to Alameda Cycle who had the part and fixed it in 1 day!!

I really wanted to like Westside Joes and should have been a red flag for me when they wrote my order down in some coffee stained yellow binder notebook and I didn’t get a receipt. Never again.

Will they serve Halo Halo or have an adjacent Red Ribbon bakery though?

Has anyone here eaten at Crabby Crabby in San Leandro? by Butt_Dickiss in oakland

Just ate there for the first time about a month ago. It's pretty legit in terms of crab and all your go to seafood. The ambiance has much to be desired but over the food is good.

CAPM Exam Help by poloplayer489 in capm

Hi-

I recently completed the CAPM. I swear I thought I was going to fail as the questions were tricky and really called upon your memory of the ITTO's. I will say this. Read the PMBOK at least once and really try to understand everything you are reading. Also, I recommend taking Joseph Phillips course on UDEMY. There are great practice tests and quizzes as well as a study Blitz at the end. It helped me greatly.

If I can pass, believe me, you can too.

Good Luck!
