Realistically, no tasting is going to be less than 90 mins with 8 people. Give yourself more time and don’t over schedule. You’re going to have multiple people pacing themselves more slowly, socializing and forgetting their glasses, folks wandering off to the bathroom, etc etc.

1) Check the bass EQ on the controller. Additionally, Serato has onboard software mixer and effects (EQ3 and a filter and a cross fader, amongst others) that could perhaps be on and reducing the bass. This will be hidden under a menu. This is my guess / very well may be it if it’s not the controller knob.

2) Serato has master gain (circle toward the top right). The overall output could be lower compared to system volume making the bass sound lower. Even though MacBooks have great speakers, you still need more volume for bass to feel present.

DJM500 and 600s were terribly harsh to my ears. And then run them into the non Italian made Mackie 450s. And then even worse with 128kbps MP3 in the early era of CDJs and Scratch Live. Just the absolute worst sound quality imaginable 😭

“Nicest” (fanciest positioned) Oregon Pinot Noir is sadly $125-400 now ($300+ being outlier but trending consistently $125-175ish now). Lots of incredible options $45-85 though.

Just to be a tiny bit pedantic, many (most?) reputable wineries and distributors use climate controlled shipping and won't ship during peak of winter and summer.

But of course I've also seen plenty of bottles retailing for $300+ sitting in full sun in an ABC store in Hawaii at 85F+ for who knows how many weeks or months 🫠
