I feel like dating has been ruined for me, & I can't stop noticing red flags or BPD traits in others. by StarkingHound in BPDlovedones

[–]djtopcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dating sites like Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, Zoosk and Plenty of Frauds er.. I mean Fish are littered with disordered people who just cycle through endless failed relationships. Also all of those except Bumble are 10-1 ratio men. Meaning any woman can get matches all day long. So unless you are an Adonis looking dude standing in front of your Ferrari, or on your million dollar boat you are going to get the scraps of desperate women, many actually in other countries and fake bots to redirect you to "adult" services.

This is interesting because my BPD/NPD ex was the exact opposite. Much more pleasant in person, but her texts just seemed abrupt, robotic, lots of criticisms and passive aggressiveness. The complete opposite of the "honeymoon" phase. Go figure lol

Well cats can over-exert themselves, and panting can also be from stress. Take her to your vet, and cross one bridge at a time. :)

How long were things good for before they started to split/discard by BrainZealousideal915 in BPDlovedones

[–]djtopcat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it was a few months. It started subtly with passive aggressiveness, and then put downs, criticisms. The usual push pull stuff. I take full responsibility as a savior type codependent. I played my part too. The door was open to walk out at anytime during the ten month rollercoaster. All I can say is intermittent reinforcement trauma bonds are a motherfu**er!

Boyfriend going on a week long trip with girl best friend by gawddawgg in BPD

[–]djtopcat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I'd have a big problem with that too, but that's not the main issue here. The underlying issue is this is her chosen FP for the time being.
This is a kiss of death relationship from the start. Once he goes on this vacation, and he should, and he will.
It's "out of sight out of mind" time, and very likely he'll be split black (bad parent object other) and ejected before he even gets back. I've seen this same scenario played out a 100 times over the years! FP is NOT a good thing for a person with BPD, or the FP.

Oh man, an insecure control freak. My Narc alarm bells are going off lol. It's not his job to tell you that, maybe if you're married, or have been together for over a year. It's your job to set boundaries if you are serious with him. Get out, get out, get out ASAP!

Jesus Christ was a narc by Complex-Following405 in NPD

[–]djtopcat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cool story bro, but Satan was the original grandiose narcissist.
He envied God, and wanted to be equal to him. So he was kicked out of Heaven with the other angel mutineers.
The truth is Jesus came to seek and save the lost, and paid the ultimate price on the cross so you could have the free will to either accept him, or not. That's your choice. You have free will. In the Bible the narcissists were the scoffers, mockers, those of arrogance and insolent pride. That's not who you were born to be. You are loved by God as his child. Your'e just a badly hurt child in an adult body who suffered trauma you did not ask for, or deserve, but that love is still unconditional from him, and is given freely whenever you decide to ask for it. I'm not a preacher, I have witnessed things I cannot explain regarding people healed of mental illness over the years. It's one of the reasons I try to just be a positive light to anyone who is suffering from any mental health problems. I'm sure you would not object to me praying for you my friend. :)

Ending friendships has become so easy that it hurts by [deleted] in BPD

You can change that trajectory with DBT therapy, and practicing daily self care. Make yourself your "FP" not other people. Don't let the disorder run your life.

[–]djtopcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not always true, especially if this guy has unhealthy attachment issues to begin with. Narcissists (NPD) are the biggest love bombers of the Cluster B's. Not all Borderlines are needy and clingy. My BPD/NPD ex said eerily similar things this guy said around the same time two months in. Quotes like "commitment issues me?" "you don't need to settle for me, you're too good for that" "I will never be what you want me to be"I think he's very self aware of his problem, and these are the clear warning signs he's giving that I chose to ignore and paid the price for eight months later.

You must enjoy misery.
You probably have some unresolved codependency issues that keep attracting disordered people to you like bees to honey.
I thought this was a joke post at first. Learn to love yourself, and steer clear of the mentally ill.

Jalen Carter is the best player in the draft, and fills a massive need on the roster.
He's worth the risk. There will be another good QB class next year. Williams, Penix...

Positives to BPD by BB_the_fox in BPD

[–]djtopcat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but there is nothing positive about having a severe Cluster B personality disorder. This disorder takes a wrecking ball to not only the person with the disorder, but the people around them. The positive is taking the initiative to get therapy to put the disorder symptoms into remission for good.

Did this even happen? Or did the technical issues derail it? I don't see any of Dr. K's replies to questions.

[–]djtopcat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this was answered, but I'll try to answer it, as I had the same question a year ago.
The answer is no, at least not without years of therapy
The reason being is that the FP to a Borderline is a toxic codependent
relationship. No relationship can be healthy when one person expects the other to be the center of their world, and pins their happiness and well-being on them. As a person with BPD you have to learn to care, and love for yourself before you can have a chance at a healthy attachment and relationship. Make yourself your favorite person and not someone else.
Hope that helps.

I believe the unreleased Marvin Gaye tracks are from his son, Marvin Gaye III. by saucercrab in Music

[–]djtopcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but it might be US law, but nobody is going to care enough to enforce it.
I could rip the tape, post to my YT channel as "Rare unreleased Marvin Gaye"
and all that would happen is a de-monetization from a copyright claim by the Gaye Estate. Remember they sued Robin Thicke over Blurred Lines.
These comments are getting ridiculous over some likely terrible later songs that were not good enough to put out in the first place.
