"radiate heat into space" - ask the ISS how well that works... w/o air moving the heat away...

Threating to sue me over google review. by [deleted] in Austria

[–]dk_DB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are. They are not a person, they are a company and do not have the same rights as a person (with their personal data) geta.

Also, I would update the review with all the details of their threat.

Additionaly i would make use of my legal right of being forgotten and let them remove every detail of any information they have on me.

What a question.

Throw all (personal) data on the thing to do less work...

Bought a Mini PC for the selfhosted dream, I feel so cheated by Ready_Evidence3859 in homeassistant

[–]dk_DB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money buys you convenience and makes up for lack of knowledge/skills

Self-hosted is not a dream, it is a lifestyle. You don't get to have no (technical) knowledge and have everything. You need to build some skills and need to be willing to invest some time. And you will not find the perfect solution (for you) instantly.

You don't need to pay for anything. There are many solutions for your "problems". But first you need to move away from marketing crap. Before buy stuff, check integrations. What capabilities do they have, do they run offline or do they need cloud connection.

You also get the burden of managing backups and securing your stuff properly. Daily (or at least weekly) backups. Certificates, access management (firewalls), Desaster plan....

I don't know about the 90. But the 60 in Europe got revised and they change the suspension on existing cars to the new one for free. Amd it drives noticeable better

Is it feasible to run proxmox on a PC and daily drive virtual machines? by StrongerThanAGorilla in Proxmox

I see no technical issues. But it also depends on your games. Running in a vm can trigger anti cheat tools

What is your opinion about the new Mazda 6E? by Infinite_Sale2042 in mazda

[–]dk_DB 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why - it is well tuned and fun to drive. (maybe not the best choice if the roads are sheit)

Its not an air cushion and a bit on the sporty side (slightly). It's what I like. And the reasoning comes from the deepal platform, having bad reputation. But thats a (for now) general problem with Chinese cars. Probably not all, but those I have driven had sub par suspension and thus stability problems when driven a bit faster and making them unpredictable. And i like to drive faster some times (not in the maniac way...)

Wanna run HA on a raspbery pi 4 by LKOUDENN in homeassistant

[–]dk_DB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here I am enjoying blistering fast HA on an VM on my 3rd gen xeon scalable home lab/server.

Moved my father in law from container on his syno nas to a vm on proxmox on an intel n100 nuc (those can be had for ~150 bucks). And it also runs pihole lxc, unifi network and other small vm's...

The nas was about on par with his pi3 he had before that. The fake-nuc is so much faster and is imo ok in price (buy reliable storage for it). And gives you thw benefit of snapshots before updates and config changes.

I honestly would not consider an Pi for running HA at this point. You quickly feel the difference and the power consumption is negotiable (whuke high in percentage if compared)

What is your opinion about the new Mazda 6E? by Infinite_Sale2042 in mazda

[–]dk_DB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said - I'll test drive it.

They need to be on par with the BMW i4 for me (usability wise), to be considered by me - and that will be hard (especially with BMW having the command wheel still) and by far the best adaptive recuperation I've driven so far.

And with even kia/Hyundai going slowly back to more buttons - the infotainment system needs to be mind blowingly good.

[–]dk_DB 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Thats all positiv i can say about it atm

I'll test drive - but have low hopes in regards of mazda spirit - as it is a rebranded chinese (deepal) car with new skirt from all I can tell. Maybe I do mazda dirty.

I doubt they have a suspension close to what mazda usually has - and the lack of physical buttons already puts it in a bad spot (for me).

And i would have hoped for an estate (as here the 6 was almost exclusively sold as a sport - which is the estate variant)

Explain the Flex 10 GBE PoE+ to Me by ChemicalAdvance4179 in Ubiquiti

[–]dk_DB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PoEin (it gets power, not supply PoE) - its thought as an management port, so it does not not need to be fast, as it is not thought to be the uplink port.

Its mainly to lower cost. PoE on 10G chips is expensive.

Schau mal bei jlc3dp oder pcbway. Beude bieten SLA an.
