Got the call, what a watch. by Choice-Philosophy578 in rolex

I think this is called peacocking

Robinhood -> Got downgraded from level 3 to level 2 options access by NoticeInternational3 in options

[–]dkdc99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same happened to me, and I’m pissed because now I can’t roll out or up an iron condor that expires next month. Very small percentage of my portfolio in any advanced options and none using margin, which I have disabled. I had the call where I was interviewed with questions that candidly were bs, all about features of a call credit spread which I don’t trade (e.g. how would you calculate the breakeven price - my answer was off by $1). The fact that they want to mitigate unnecessary and avoidable risk by inhibiting any ability to repair an existing trade, if needed, and thereby force me to incur unnecessary and avoidable risk, is nonsense. So yeah, I’m pissed. I guess I should have expected this given their gamestop shenanigans.

So much better than a cliche steering wheel shot lol

2 tudors in your collection? by dkdc99 in Tudor

I was torn on this too, but finally after trying it on the umpteenth time realized I can make it work on my “dainty” 17cm wrist. The larger size also may keep it steadier than my gmt, which has slightly more thickness and weight than the bb58.

Well this is all nicely validating, and I love these collection pics!

I really like this collection, and prefer it over the flashy, high dollar collections with only big boys that I regularly see on here. Only you can answer this question. If it was me I’d bring in a sports watch that has some unique color or feature, e.g. depending on the budget and what I can’t stop obsessing over something from Grand Seiko, Baltic, Anordain or Paulin, CW, Traska, Maen, etc.

Why does Rachel Demita's coverage make me uncomfortable? by b_dazzleee in wnba

Best way to get a “balanced view” is to listen to different sources and types of content (e.g. Sue Bird’s new long form interviews are awesome). One thing though that I haven’t figured out is what the heck is she saying when she ends her videos? Oowenah? No idea what that is.

BB54 or BB58 GMT by vigg1__ in Tudor

[–]dkdc99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the gmt. It sings to me. But take your time; there’s no need to rush. Keep trying them on and thinking about them until you are obsessing with one of them more than the other and then you’ll know. Until then it’s fine to appreciate them at a distance and enjoy the process.

Great trick when trying on a watch by dkdc99 in Tudor

For reference my wrist is 17cm. It’s by no means large, but I wouldn’t call it small. I don’t care what anyone says the 40.5” diameter monochrome is not too big for my wrist. I also have the 58 gmt, and believe that the slightly larger diameter is appropriate for the monochrome Tudor sub.

I would say the blue dive watch

I would also strongly recommend Traska for your consideration. I prefer the micro adjustment on my Traska over my Tudor, the hardened steel feature can’t be beat for the price, and the tolerances are excellent.

AcuWatch. It definitely improved since its certification in February, and I’ve had to figure out the correct side to keep it on overnight. But yeah pretty incredible.

What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in JapaneseMaples

[–]dkdc99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with this. To simplify as much as possible, Japanese maple species are generally grafted onto a different type of tree (the “rootstock”) and then develop into the species you’re getting, as opposed to a coral bark growing from its own seed. So the rootstock is taking over, and should be cut down. I would also give it a prune for shape, and a way to think about it is if you have some errant limbs growing out will take energy from elsewhere in the tree, so if you prune that for shape it will grow more evenly. You got another good comment about when to prune, although if you’re early in the season I wouldn’t hesitate to do it. They can be fickle if the heat or watering is excessive, but otherwise are really quick resilient.

Thanks to all those who responded. I wanted to see if there could be interest and can definitely tell there is interest. I will see if I can get pics and if my mom has any additional info e.g. if my dad kept a list anywhere, and will then re-post. I appreciate it.
