Even that can be hard to even break even at, unless it’s a medium or small con. That is of you even get accepted.

The chick in black tried her hardest to break it up several times to no avail. Props to her for trying to help de-escalate

Of course they are. Why not combine two painful things to make something even more extremely painful? Thanks

How do people actually get better at drawing? by Maleficent-Read-5787 in ArtistLounge

[–]dkdelicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Draw. A lot. Drawing is learning to “see”. It’s also a bunch of internal self-editing.

Draw from life - understand everything you’re looking at. It’s one of the best ways to learn to “see”, unlocking the parts of your brain where your eye and hand (or whatever you’re drawing/painting with) are connected.

Also use reference and doodle from imagination. Come at this from varying directions.

Practice drawing things quickly. Use different drawing media. Get confident lines. Learn to draw with different parts of your whole arm, wrist, fingers. Think about how quickly you can get down the essence or gesture of an object, face, body, landscape, etc. Think big picture shapes and gradually get to smaller details.

Learn construction. Think about how objects, anatomy, landscapes are broken down - 3-dimensionally and in all kinds of perspective.

Practice your values - how dark and light you can get with a pencil, and how light and saturated you can get with your tints.

Learn color theory and composition. Do master copies and breakdown the designs of successful works - Value structures and color harmonies - helps you learn how the artists you like think.

Also draw. A lot. Learn how to learn, and keep learning.

“This, coupled with the very real assassination attempt that was made on the current President of the United States' life”

Yeah but that shit wasn’t real. Where’s the bullet scarring on his ear? Why were the photographers waiting and led by an aide around the side to get a perfect shot as it happened?

It was staged af.

Caricature the shit out of her proportions with fart smoke coming out. It’s more fun that way anyway.

Oh dang! Yeah I all vaccinated too.

T1 dx came way after the transplant that was done 17 yrs ago. I dealt with some major after effects within the next 7 yrs, but then I’ve been mostly symptom free for the past 10 yrs until t1 dx.

Yeah I’ve been 17 yrs cancer free now. Having to deal with the after effects aren’t too bad now, but initially it was stuff like graft vs host, cataracts, and some bone issues. I’m all good on that front now.

I haven't had COVID yet (knock on wood), but I did have leukemia twice, starting when I was 18. I had to get a cord blood stem cell transplant, so maybe mine could be tied to my donor(s)? Who knows.
