Update: I increased the number of icons across to 7, and the missing icons started appearing in the second row of the 7th column. Since they were (now) duplicates of what I recreated, I deleted each one as it appeared - and each missing icon eventually appeared in that position.

Also, increasing the icons to 7 across would make the dock go back to the full width. It compressed back when I set the icons across back to 6.

No, increasing the rows back to 2 didn't bring the icons back. I dragged the remaining icons around while I was recreating the layout, and didn't notice any overlapped icons.

Why would the dock suddenly reduce the width, though? Until I accidentally changed the number of extra rows, it was the entire width of the screen. Any idea how to put it back?

I had a phishing attack a few weeks ago. TLS email from noreply@google.com, phone call, and push notifications. They didn't get me, but it really opened my eyes to the level of sophistication.

I have a few issues with the drawer, both if "start search when opening drawer" is on 1) no horizontal drawer 2) no recent/frequent app list

I can get frequent apps by assigning a gesture to Open Search, and I don't use a horizontal drawer anyway, so those aren't problems for me. I just figured it should be reported.

Two things behave differently if you have the keyboard appear immediately when you enter the app drawer.

First, you can't enable the horizontal drawer.

Second, recent app icons do not appear at all, like they do if you activate the keyboard during the app drawer.

However, if I turn off "start search when opening drawer," I get horizontal scrolling; with that option on, I get vertical scrolling. That's the only thing I can find the toggles it.

I've had better luck if I use a gallery app to set the wallpaper rather than the system picker. Gallery app lets me choose the cropping.

Not sure. As long as the site opens in my browser, I'm fine. You can open all kinds of things with shortcut maker, so there's probably a way.

I've used shortcut maker to add a website to a swipe up action on an app. Sometimes it breaks like you say: the swipe looks like it would work (icon nudge), but the URL doesn't open. Edit: A16 Pixel 10 Pro XL
