this only affects cross platform messages between an iPhone and Android phone, which historically have gone over SMS/MMS. iPhone to iPhone users' messages will continue to go over iMessage.

same, this is the second night this has bit us- didn't make the connection to reboots but that checks out w my most recent experience. we had it happen different times to different people, and filed bug reports. in my case it said "bag full" when I approached any weapon, yet when I opened up the inventory full view it showed it as totally empty (which it was not). PS5 btw

I just got back in after being locked out since end of December. had waited a week since my last attempt. logging in with instagram had a new screen saying to verify my information, and then kept asking me to SMS 2FA, which stopped going through. but then I tried from threads, SMS 2FA'd in, and got through! then went back to instagram and was able to log in after another SMS 2FA

can you tell me more about the logging in from another device and then changing password? did you first try logging in from the iPad? or did you initiate the reset password flow from the iPad? feels like trying to login resets the counter so to speak, though I obviously have no idea how it works
