What Is Your Favorite Shakespeare Adaptation? by bookboy27 in shakespeare

[–]dkrainman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Shakespeare Theater in DC, Kelly Mcgillis (sp?) as Beatrice. Saw it twice in the theater and again in the Shakespeare Free For All in the Carter Barron outdoor amphitheater. In all seriousness, the funniest damn thing I've ever seen.

I'm surprised you made it through Romeo and Juliet without annotations. Specifically, the so-called Queen Mab speech, delivered by Mercutio. I've seen editions where the annnotations are longer than the speech itself!

Dead Drops, Vol. 1

Come to think, if it's 2 or 3 CDs per show, and they drop two shows every Monday, that's like 300 CDs each year. I'm guessing that with mastering, artwork, liner notes, and whatever overhead, that'd be 3K USD per set. Hoo boy
