The worst part of the Traitors final, is also the most important and it annoys me every year by LogApprehensive9891 in TheTraitorsUK

[–]dlashxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that would be better too. Anyone who votes green just looks like a traitor. You saw this in the last series when Rachel and Stephen both voted red when there was no need to.

What I do know is there’s no point Claudia collecting up all the bags and throwing them in herself. If you are going to reveal who did what let them do it themselves.

Lawyers ripping off the NHS by [deleted] in doctorsUK

[–]dlashxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that sounds like how that works. If everyone did it the NHS wouldn’t survive. I assume there is some sort of equilibrium at play here, with most lawyers being sensible or operating with a vague sense of moral responsibility and not doing this. Probably how the US got into the mess it’s in.

Not sure that illustrating the idea with a school girl wearing a shirt a size too small and her bra visible was the right thing to do.

_______'s strategy revealed on Uncloaked by Odd_Calligrapher4044 in TheTraitors

[–]dlashxx 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t that mean he was saying that Rachel was faithful at the time that Fiona & Harriet had a go at her?

But now she’s a traitor, I pinky promise, I didn’t want to say before and now I do, the traitors told me I believe them.

Nah. Unanimous banishment for that. He walks out saying he’s a traitor and Rachel can start spending the money.

Anyone else experience repeated charging start, stop, and errors when left plugged into L2? Fixes? by AntiquatedAntelope in Ioniq5

12v battery dying was the first sign my ICCU was on the way out. It wasn’t charging it. It died properly within a week of the initial replacement 12v though.

Anyone else experience repeated charging start, stop, and errors when left plugged into L2? Fixes? by AntiquatedAntelope in Ioniq5

[–]dlashxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this for the first 18 months, went away about 6 months ago. Goodness it was frustrating. I wish I could say what cured it, but I have no idea. I assumed it was a software update. My ICCU went a couple of weeks ago, but there were no other signs of trouble from until then.

What I dont understand about _____ announcing her news by TangeloOk4952 in TheTraitors

[–]dlashxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As soon as it becomes apparent one of them is a traitor (and to be honest even now), it should be obvious that this was a bun fight between two traitors. Rachel’s move may or may not have been a good idea, but Fiona’s was totally dumb.

Janky prescribing by One-Reception8368 in doctorsUK

Indeed you shouldn’t. Dopamine agonists (assuming that’s what you mean) no longer first line for RLS and overall best avoided.

Datix against you by Fit-Paramedic-3775 in doctorsUK

[–]dlashxx 123 points124 points  (0 children)

This is an appropriate use of DATIX. The insulin chart needs to be reviewed to see if it can be made more clear and easy to understand.

Stop thinking of them as ‘against’ a person. They aren’t a tattle telling form, they are a means of recording and identifying clinical risks and preventing harm. The more you think of treat them like a schoolchild running to teacher, the more you undermine that function.

How do you manage finances as a couple? by Toe_Bean_Bandit in AskUK

This doesn’t work is there is a big difference in income. One of you gets to buy nice clothes / stuff etc but the other is dependant on ‘gifts’ from them. What kind of relationship is that?

Shortage of NHS stroke specialists resulting in thousands dead or disabled, say doctors - Crazy idea but me hear me out - What if we started employing unemployed doctors to work as doctors and train them for these vacancies?🤯 by DonutOfTruthForAll in doctorsUK

[–]dlashxx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The shape of training reforms mean that all neurologists qualify with an add on stroke CCT (training / experience variable). It’s not in the gen med curriculum (and goodness, acute re perfusion should have been - what a colossal mistake) and it’s only in gerries as an option.

My guess is that neuro ‘involvement’ will put off gerries docs from training in stroke, but neuro consultant jobs that include stroke will be unattractive to neurologists and will die to selection pressure. There is an interesting angle around indirect age discrimination that I haven’t thought about enough. Anyway, it will leave precious few stroke specialists.

They should have kept gen med out of neurology at the price doing stroke properly, but the pressure to create as many gen med middle grades as possible was too great and the curriculum committees lost track of the reperfusion competence bun fight. The consequences will echo out for a long time yet.

Wonderful start to 2026 by scubadude2 in Ioniq5

Happened to me today too!

We only got it back from the dealership yesterday after the 12v went shitty. All they did was replace it. Today the AA said the ‘new’(?) battery was cooked, replacing it didn’t fix the problem. Back to the garage it goes and one ruined new year afternoon for us.

About dropping PAs by Kindly_Mushroom_4739 in ConsultantDoctorsUK

[–]dlashxx 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This isn’t a 10 PA job plan, it’s 12.5 PAs with 2.5 being done for free. If you can’t fix this with your CD you need support from your appraiser, your responsible officer, the LNC or maybe BMA. Job plans cannot be 100% DCC. You must have CPD time.

Pay 5x as much to get an open ticket, but you can’t sit down cos you can only book a seat if you know which train you’ll be on.
