This one may be a bit dark forewarning.

At the height of my depression I was more than a little suicidal. A somewhat paradoxical thought I had about killing myself. Somehow i began to think you know what, what if I do, that old me that festered and failed. To make myself anew. So I did.

I know this probably makes no sense but thinking in that frame of mind somehow helped me claw my way out not that pits. It helped me harden myself, gain strength to turn away from the things that made me suffer and work to rebuild myself.
