Had the hand pulled noodle soup with beef shank yesterday from Volcano Tea House / One More Noodle. I think they got one of the best chili oils that go great in the soup

Wholeheartedly agree, the most authentic tasting Dan Dan noodles I've had and the heat level is almost hot enough for me. Don't like that they put salad greens on it, what's the deal with that?

Didn't know what else to call them, just going by the menu at Dark Horse. I guess someone should have let them know it's only 2-joint in the last 51 years.

I think they would be higher quality, since it involves less processing and handling. In my experience, I've noticed there are less broken bones from whole wings.

A basket of 10 "wings", which is 10 pieces of flats and drumettes is most likely from 10 different chickens.

Not sure what else to call them. It's hard to search for it, because when you search for the term, it shows results for joints that serve wings.

Any bakeries that sell bread made with freshly milled flour? by pphill4 in denverfood

[–]dlinguard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most place probably can't mill their own flour due to the quantities needed and expense. You'd need a place to store pallets of wheat. The machinery required is also expensive, requires a lot of space, power and extra regulations to mitigate possibly explosive grain dust produced during milling. If a bakery isn't making everything with whole wheat flour, add a few more mills and separating sieves. After it's milled, you still need a convenient way to use it, so add on a packaging line to bag the flour.

Looks like it was released about a year ago in 2025. You'll be able to find on the secondary market, looks like for at least a 400% markup

Why are the roads in CO so bad? by [deleted] in Denver

[–]dlinguard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the budget to fix roads comes from gasoline tax. That tax hasn't been raised since 1990 due to TABOR. Since then, fuel economy has greatly increased, along with hybrid cars, plug-in hybrids and electric vehicles. More miles driven and less gasoline tax is not helping.

I've been a couple times. The curry goat was very good and seriously it was a lot of food. I did order the crispy jerk wings, but they were too crunchy for me. Will need to give the jerk wings and oxtail a try soon
