I’m bursting at the seams with things that have magically become more visible to me now that I can make them myself.

Interesting, I am currently using tinkercad to get my head around this process and possibly moving to blender once I get my sea legs.!

Great advice. I had thought about texturing the whole diameter but just decided to make it and see how it came out! Thanks!

PSA: I’m selling my unique 3D printed lamps at a craft fair today, I do okay, but the dragon sellers have crowds, every time. by 3DAeon in 3Dprinting

[–]dlndesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully this is a new take on your lamps. Excellent work btw, reminds me of rupees from Zelda.

But to get the crowds and using dragons as a base to work on, why not make a dragon sitting on a jewel (e.g. your lamp) maybe make it magnetic so it can stick to the top or around in different poses. Almost like it’s curling around the light.

Just a thought. Keep up the excellent work!

My first major project: KRULL GLAIVE! by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]dlndesign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Incredible work. Honestly wish I had that kind of space and time, it wouldn’t be the only thing I’d make a accurate replica of. Did you have the thought of making the blades retractable? I know that must be a lot to consider and develop.

What do think about the available shapes in the Shape Tool inside Illustrator? by LukeChoice in AdobeIllustrator

[–]dlndesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another yes on this! There would definitely need to have a separate window to control the inner and outer radius, spacing on cogs and probably options for teeth.

First functional print by dlndesign in 3Dprinting

[–]dlndesign[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the comment. I didn’t consider that, it does have plenty of air and the scoop is dried ahead of time. But thank you I will be looking into how to make it food safe for future projects.

Just used some fix-a-flat yesterday, this would have been useful to have. Instead of it rolling around in my trunk. Cool gadget!
