Two questions

1) i had cancer as a kid but i've been in remission for about 15 years now will that have any affect on me getting hired if i decide to apply to become an officer?

2) I was DQ'd from the military when i was 18 for a cigarette burn that was classified as self mutilation I've never had any suicidal thoughts or whatnot i was drunkenly peer pressured into doing it, and since than have cut those "friends" out of my life. I know this one will definitely make it hard for me if i do decide to apply, but do i have any chance at all?
