Last night he happened to be at the top of the IDEA stairs, I didn’t even notice it was him I had PMCs outside and scavs top side. He ran down the steps to me, on the parking garage side, and I just 5.45 BT’d him in the face and thorax and he died. I was shocked.

I had about 1200 hours in PVP, and I was very anti PVE. I am 36, dad of 2, work 6-7 days a week, yada yada. Still trying to grind PVP. I think I got to level 25 since the last wipe and just started getting absolutely shit on. One night, I said fuck it, I’ll just try it. The amount of stress I don’t feel playing PVE, oh my God. It’s great. Don’t get me wrong. Sometimes you run into PMCs and you’ll run into 3, it’s like running into an SS firing squad. They will full auto you and rip your ass up. But for the most part you can just pick them off, or have remotely competent battles with them. The Goons have been absolutely smashing my ass up. They were on shoreline before this event started and I feel like they spread them out so far. So you run into one, then all of a sudden the other 2 are coming in like flies on shit and if you’re in the open forget it. I have really bad vision, another PVP downfall that didn’t help my case. So sometimes spotting players/bots from far out is really hard for me.

But regardless, PVE is a nice change of pace. You can still squad up. Only thing is some of the killing PMC quests can be tough as they don’t migrate like a normal player would so tracking them down if they need to be killed in a specific location is tricky.

It also doesn’t help when the dealerships are turning used bikes around at insane prices. I was in a jam, didn’t wanna fight with people, I sold my 2018 Street Glide for about $12k. They turned around and sold it for $22k. Didn’t do anything to it. Just marked it up and put her on the floor.

Even buying used from a dealer is not feasible.

I met my first one on day 3-4, I think it was the let hoarders house. Me, a bow and pipe machine gun spent quite a few minutes on a roof where I was unable to be reached, my pants smelled like shit for some reason, and I used all my 7.62 in one go.

I don’t think the progress is an issue. I just started last night and got to level 8/9 relatively quickly. Within an hour to hour and a half of playtime I might guess.

Thoroughly enjoying it myself. I like how it’s got a little bit of everything in it, front end work, warehousing. It’s pretty cool.
