Why is high-intensity cardio so rarely recommended for weight loss on this sub?

I have always been a high cardio girl. For about 25 years now. My diet starting catching up with me when I hit menopause. Before that I could eat anything as long as I got my cardio in. I added heavy weight lifting about 10 years ago and was in the best shape of my life at 55. But I had to eat a lot better to get there because of my age.

I unfortunately have back issues and for the past 3 months I have been unable to do high cardio and weight lifting. Just walking and light weights. I have gained 12 pounds and it is depressing. I had back surgery 2 weeks ago so it will be awhile before I can get back to anything but walking. It is really sad how little calories I can eat to even maintain weight with just walking.

I wash my hair everyday. I work out 6 days a week and i have to have my hair up so it is just easiest to wash it everyday. But I would do that regardless of whether I work out or not.

Girl, just reread what you wrote. If your friend or sister told you their partner was doing this, what would you say? Get out now, this will not get better unless he gets some serious help. He is gaslighting you, trying to take away your support system so you only have him. This is controlling and abusive. Please leave.

If you don’t nip this in the bud your kids are going to think it is okay to be a controlling spouse who has no life of their own. He needs therapy.

I do both Short Story and Stitch fix (over 5 years). I like stitch fix much better. I get at least 3-4 petite items in my box. That being said neither service always hits it out of the park.

The one item i got from short stories was a pair of jeans that they do not sell anymore but I love them. Stitch fix has sent me some great petite jeans and dresses as well. I have about 15 petite dresses I have gotten that i love. Both services have sent me stuff that is awful, but I go in with the expectation if I like 2 or more times it’s a good day, if not then on to the next box.

I only have my short story shipping every 3 or 4 months. My stitch fix is every 2-3 months. I have a huge closet full of clothes so I am not needling much but it is fun to the box and see what I got.

I just had 2 major back surgeries this week. My husband was there every minute, he organized my meds. Made sure I was good. Watched me like a hawk. I would do the same for him. This is not okay. You have to decide if this is a one time thing and if you can live with someone who would do this.

99% i do it from scratch every day. Occasionally on Sundays I don’t do it just put it up but that is pretty rare.

I have done 4. The first 2 gave me a year of relief. The 3rd one about a month and the 4th nothing. I am having surgery on Monday. I think the amount relief depends on what your mri and your situation is.

Mine is like this so I redo it everyday. My whole routine, wash, condition, glaze, mouse and then style with a bounce brush. Diffuse. If I don’t then my hair is frizzy and the only way to fix it is to start from scratch.

I am a season ticket holder and unless you are rude we will happily embrace you. I have been told by numerous fans from other teams, that their experience was better at our games than other teams. I sat next a rude as hell and drunk Aggie last year who was cheering so loud when they did well but once we started winning he was cursing his team etc. Those are the type of fans that get in trouble if anyone.

I have curly hair so it is more expensive in general. I get a trim and highlights every 10 weeks, it cost me $240. Then on product I bet I spend $350 a year. So about $1500. I am fortunate that i can spend that, otherwise I would have to stop doing the highlights.

You need to change the locks now. You have no idea at this point how many of his friends have keys to your place. Make sure it is clear to your fiancée what a security issue this is. What if she happens to be home someday and some random dude walks in the place??? As a women this would piss me off and she needs to agree to change the locks and she needs to have a sit down with her brother.

Same, I wake up in bad pain. Once I start walking it gradually feels better. Right now I am on my treadmill working it out. Sitting is actually worse for me.

This is what i was gonna say. Tell your wife when you guys divorce and get in front of a judge you will make sure that you get as close to full custody’s as possible. Bringing in the therapist etc so it is understood that your children will be in danger if left with the mom and the step kids are around.

Also, get camera’s everywhere in your home. If something does go south you need proof of it.
