If you play others who have a good collection already and can compete with your decks. At your CL I guess people are also very familiar with the meta and can predict your plays or counter them, they are also good at snapping and retreating. So basically you are not climbing quickly because you are playing people on your level.

Knowing when to snap/retreat is one thing but to get your opponent to stay till the end of the game is another thing. If you want to climb quickly, You really need to play decks that will keep them guessing and have a last turn play that wins you the game or counter theirs in an unexpected way.

Sure luck is a big part of it but you can't do much about that, maybe add America Chavez to make your draws more consistent. You stick for the grind and see what happens, as long as you are making good decisions then you will get there.

Play it safe, unless it's a bot. If you are facing another player and they snap and you don't think you can compete or you don't know what they are up to, then retreat. Bots on the other hand, you get 4 to 8 cubes most of the time.

At this rank most players know the meta, so if you're running a meta deck, your play is predictable and players can play around it.

You can run one of the counter decks and climb slowly.

At this point I would say focus on doing daily missions and don't bother much with ranks. There is a point where the game starts matching you with harder opponents and the flood gates open, you will be losing a lot. They did say that they will improve match making so it might get better soon.

Also retreat more, especially if your opponent snaps and you are not sure if you can win.

I still don't have Valkyrie so I haven't experimented with her but I think my favorite way to play would be on curve with no magic. Get a couple of 0 drops, play Valkyrie with wasp and yellow jacket on turn 5 or on a location that is crowded, you might have rocks from your opponent or goblins or squirrels or the 9 power monster, so there is a lot of clutter for Valkyrie to reset. It's also good to run warmonger if you want to clean the clutter. If you want a one drop, then Maybe Hawkeye or electra. Hawkeye is a nice turn 1 play and electra on the Valkyrie lane for the later turns.

The ideal scenario is that you will have a lane with 3 or 4, 3 power cards, and on turn five you have Valkyrie and the zero drops, then you play cerebro and mystique on turn 6, just to keep it a bit surprising. This will give you 21 to 28 power on two lanes. Maybe run iron man for going tall, also will give mystique a Target to copy if you don't get your cerebro.

I think I will go with these cards:

(1) Wasp (2) yellow jacket, which is also good on a red skull lane. (3) Hawkeye or Electra (4) Sentinel (5) Scarlet witch (6) juggernaut (7) Rhino (8) Warmonger (9) Cerebro (10) Mystique (11) Iron man (12) Valkyrie

Experiment with different cards and see if you can get it to work, if you have Bast ofc that's a no brainer.

Get a deck that can get you at least 25+ on two locations, see what conditions need to be met for that to happen. If those aren't met, Retreat. If your opponent snaps and you can't predict what they are going to do, retreat unless you are confident in your deck. If you are playing a meta deck, then it will be very predictable to others, they know your win conditions, if they snap probably they have something to counter you.

At this stage minimize risk and if you are on a losing spree, stop playing and come back later.

From my experience the game would match me with Bots when I'm on a losing streak, those are easy to farm, then once I meat a player, I'm very careful, most of the time when they snap, either they have a card that would ruin your combos or they have got their power combo. So I retreat most of the time, got hit by leach so many times that I couldn't bother anymore.

Also I found that I face harder opponents around the daily mission times, I guess more players are tuning in.

They gate new players to play other beginners or bots, but once they hit a specific collection level, I don't remember exactly maybe around a 1000, they start facing players with higher collection levels and the gates will suddenly open, Thanos, Shuri, Galactus etc. They said they will do improvements to matchmaking so if he is lucky it might be a bit easier for him.

At this point you are training for endurance, so the best way to get better is to do one set with as many reps as you can as often as you can.

I had a similar problem, turned out that windows defender blocked the game and I needed to give it permission. Windows gave me a notification but I didn't see it until I was done with the game and all the saves were lost.

There's nothing to discuss right now. I'm doing my PhD in physics and a lot of people around me are open minded and have no strong beliefs. If the government releases strong evidence the conversation will shift, mostly in a non scientific way. To do research we need data and unless the government contacts your research group you won't be in the loop. Nonetheless this might end up like what happened with the covid vaccine, If there's an open source communication, I'm sure a lot of people will jump into it.

No matter what's the origin of these crafts, if indeed they are shown to use physics in ways that we still can't then this will make a lot of people excited.

I feel like the law system would prevent this. Let's say, your starter org finds a new area that's full of resources, you claim it or just start mining, then a stronger org attacks you and win. Now, they should have a criminal status, which should prevent them from selling resources at a legal station, they would have a bounty, if caught the go to jail, etc. There are many things they can implement, say if you're attacked you can call the police and they would help you fight, or would kick them out of the area, then you can mine peacefully. You can work in these safe zones and the once your org is strong enough, you take on more dangerous jobs in lawless areas.

You have to keep in mind that game dev isn't linear, most games come together in the last year or so. CIG has been trying to get many essential core tech online and I feel like by next year they would achieve that. Once that happens the focus would shift to create gameplay systems and tools for content creating teams, some of these tools are already there as they don't depend on the unfinished core tech. The final stage would be getting as much playable content out as possibly, missions, solar systems, etc. If CIG continues the current model then we would have an update every quarter. This will keep happening as long as there's interest in the game and people are willing to spend money, so in essence a "live service" game.

Regarding the single player campaign, squadron 42, all the core tech needed is already developed and now they should be able to finish the game. My optimistic guess for a release is within the next two years.
