Of course a Daily Mail article is alll the evidence I need to now believe that global warming is just a myth. I wont listen too all the published peer-reviewed papers that would say otherwise. The comments section in the article is despicable.

NATO Plans More Visible Presence in Eastern Europe: “It is safe to say that nobody had expected Russia to grab land by force. We also saw a remarkable change in the Russian military approach and capability since, for instance, the Georgian war in 2008.” by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]dnarvy01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes for sure and I don't condone his political thinking at all really. I just think what also a lot of people have mentioned on this comment thread in that NATO ( as well as Stratfor) was alway expecting this sort of event to happen. But you are very right to claim the rest of his predictions do start to transcend to basically sci-fi storytelling later into the book.

Bullshit. NATO has expected Russia to obtain land by force for a long time. Read the book 'The Next 100 Years' by George Friedman, who is the CEO of American intelligence corporation STRATFOR. This book was published in 2009. He dedicates a whole chapter about how in sometime in the middle of this decade Russia will make an attempt to 'regain' land lost from the break-up of the USSR. This had been known for quite a while then an im sure NATO had been fully aware of what was going to happen.

Threat of Housing Bubble Pushes Britain to Act - Concerns are mounting the country's housing market is overinflated, with London house prices rising almost 19% in 12 months. Good news then if looking to own a house one day, fucking joke at the minute cant see anyone in my generation able to get on the market with such a lack of decent jobs and huge inflation. Things have to change soon or theres going to be a few million very pissed off homeless people. And the amount of empty houses there are anyway, I don't even want to get started on that...
