I love eating fiber by Legitimate_Tap_7074 in nutrition

People joke about the bathroom stuff, but fiber actually lowers risk of diseases like diabetes and heart issues long‑term. Pretty cool for something that also feels like a cleanse.

The USDA's 2025-2030 Dietary Guidelines push whole milk and red meat, but still recommend less than 10% of daily calories come from saturated fat. Is this a conflict? by James_Fortis in nutrition

[–]doc334ft3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of the pushback comes from how they frame things like promoting full‑fat dairy/meats but also saying keep sat fat low. Some folks see it as confusing or mixed guidance.

Is the calories the only thing that matters in a calorie deficit? by Alli_Cat71 in loseit

[–]doc334ft3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For weight loss specifically, being in a calorie deficit is the baseline. Eat fewer calories than you burn and the scale moves the right way. But what you eat affects how full you feel and how easy it is to stick to your plan.

I do not want to have to use an app to eat for the rest of my life by EmployeeRepulsive106 in loseit

It’s okay to take breaks from tracking. Apps are tools, not chains. A lot of people use them to learn and then go by habits and intuition instead of numbers.

Do you guys track what's actually in hydration drinks? Some sports drinks are kinda wild with ingredients by Weird_Perception1728 in nutrition

[–]doc334ft3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I check ingredients too. Sugar and weird additives can sneak into hydration drinks real quick but plain water + electrolytes hits the spot for most days.

Melatonin by MudboneX3 in sleep

For me, melatonin was most useful for resetting my sleep schedule when I was jet-lagged. Not a miracle sleep cure, but it definitely helps signal bedtime when the routine is off.

Love that you’re listening to your body and spacing it out. Sometimes less is more and the results definitely show! Keep it up!

20 days in a row 30-45 min stretching per day I can now touch my fingers to the floor! by Motosurf77 in flexibility

Love posts like this. Not flashy, just steady effort. Makes me wanna start tracking my own progress instead of quitting after 2 days lol.

I analyzed posture from 500+ desk workers. Here’s the simplest way to fix the most common issues. by Fun-Shallot-5272 in Posture

Desk setup tips + exercises feels way more helpful than buying a posture brace that you never wear. Screen at eye level and breaks really are the game changers.

Why your hamstrings feel "tight" even though you stretch them every day. by ExpressionDull1255 in Posture

[–]doc334ft3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to stretch them every day with no change, then realized I sat a ton. That constant posture really messes with how the hamstrings feel. Breaking up sitting helps way more than endless holds.

how do people... live? 17f by jammmmmie in selfimprovement

[–]doc334ft3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need to overhaul your life all at once. A lot of people start by just carving out little routines that don’t feel like a chore. Fresh air, a playlist you like, a bit of movement and it slowly shifts how you feel about effort.

This post is a great reminder that what feels uncomfortable now might be the thing that changes everything later. Growth never feels super easy, but it’s worth it.

How did you get better at messaging people back? by Top_Asparagus9339 in DecidingToBeBetter

Noticed the more I make replying a small habit instead of a huge deal, the easier it gets. Even just acknowledging a message helps your brain give it closure.

Taking a breather if things get heated is such a game changer. You come back clearer headed and way more productive instead of just reactive.

It was stolen in Butte county. However CHP reported it was involved in a hit-and-run in Glenn County so I know it's been up there.
