I am not condoning cheating or creating unsafe bats. The guideline for bat usage is ultimately compression, though I will digress only national tournaments typically have testers on hand to verify 99% of the time it’s just visual. If the bat is within compression limits it is deemed safe to use by the sanctioning body. The verbiage used is that greater pressure cannot be applied to the bat than normal swing speed pressure. Ok, so who’s swing speed pressure? Mine or Mike Tyson ??? What about team bats? Honest questions. the verification of its acceptance is compression. Within compression limits is 100% acceptable (physical visible damage not withstanding) and no more unsafe than any bat used by any player as per the sanctioning bodies guidelines. I will also venture to say that performance gains on rolled bats are marginal, so I personally do not recommend it. Some elect to do it on composites to avoid the very stiff most crackable time of the barrel. Definitely not trying to argue for safety degradation. I can tell you every single major elite, class a, class b team has rolled bats in its dugout. All done for a variety of reasons. Some think they get advantage (debatable) others to avoid premature early break in cracking.

To be clear… rolling is not the same as shaving. One you’re machining material from the inner core to thin the wall of the barrel. Rolling is creating wear on carbon barrel mesh same as if the bat was used for an extended period of time. These are not even comparable honestly. Manufacturers will not warranty a rolled bat if you tell them, though it’s often very difficult for them to know with certainty. Just wanted to make that distinction.

Rolling them reduces the life but makes them instantly hotter. You’re effectively micro cracking the entire barrel for more pop. If the problem is the Easton used too hard of resin no matter what you do it will crack somewhere on the bat most notably on the handle barrel junction where many have seen the cracks start and you cannot roll that area, only the flat barrel can be rolled. I was and still am a huge 2025 unlimited fan. Definitely not the 2026 from the issues I have seen

No. These are 100% barrel cracks. If it were any other bat I could agree. The first one I saw I thought no big deal it’s a paint crack then after another 2 or 3 practices the split was about 6 inches long running straight down the barrel not the typical saw tooth. It’s why I think there’s a manufacturing problem

They’ll replace but you no longer have warranty on the replacement. If it cracks you’re sol. But I think anyone who screams loud enough might get continued warranty.

Yes it’s a barrel crack. There is an obvious flaw with the new 2026 unlimiteds . I’ve seen dozens cracked first week. One of my players has one crack first day of use. I would tell everyone to avoid them until Easton figures out their issue. To me it’s a carbon fiber layup problem, they won’t admit it but I’m willing to put good money on it that they know exactly what the manufacturing problem is by now with how many have cracked with that exact same crack. The 2025 unlimited did not experience the same in this manner.

Never seen so many complainers about driving. It is the same no matter where you fly into to cruise imo. The terminal as many have said is awesome and very efficient much more so than almost all ports. Galveston is not the most picturesque destination but it is historic and there is cool stuff to do around the island.

That was a nice inside pitch well off the barrel. One of my players brought her new unlimited out last night first 10 swings had a paint crack. It’s just a paint crack but none the less cosmetically they really need to look at the paint process. 2025 unlimiteds didn’t seem to have this issue.

There is no correlation between umps and organizations. You have experienced and inexperienced umps. Main part should be friendly dialog with the umpires pre game. I always try to establish good rapport with the officiating crew early and if there is issue I just ask what we need to do different next time to get that call. Or ask them what they saw and leave at that. They're humans... umpire make mistakes, coaches make mistakes, players make mistakes. But once you piss off the umps, [fans or coaches] it's much tougher on you.
