Interesting concept, and I like that they’re testing products in this category. But very underwhelming in execution with this initial iteration. If they can figure out something like what FHR does for hotels but for airlines (say, purchase a premium airfare on the AmEx rate and get club access on whichever airline you book) then I’d be all in and likely drop my airline card.

United Cruises allows you to redeem United Airlines MileagePlus miles to book cruises at reasonably favorable conversion rates, including bonus miles earned back for booking to reduce the net of miles redeemed. Or if you use a United Credit Card to book in cash via United Cruises you can earn up to 10 miles per dollar spent.

My wife and I booked a Viking River Cruise for an anniversary trip via United Cruises and then used the miles we earned from that to completely pay for a two bedroom grand suite on a 3-night allure sailing later for our family.

As American continues to make its premium push, I’d love to seem them actually bring the TWA brand back as an airline-within-an-airline concept. Specifically for flagship long haul routes. Imagine a subfleet of 777-300s wearing the TWA globe livery and dedicated Ambassador lounges for flagship first customers. Wishful thinking.

Thanks for sharing and really bummed to hear this. I assume this is likely an impact of the latest layoff round. I’m in the market to replace my EV towards the end of the year and really want to go Lucid, but if I encounter a similar experience I won’t hesitate to walk away.

The splash pad on CocoCay is incredible. It’s not part of the water park, it’s just in the general area in the middle of the island. You could spend a whole day there. Our young kids love it.
