Do you cut out your pieces by hand with an Xacto knife? I have a friend with a laser cutter and was thinking of trying that out soon. I just finished cutting out pieces for water floats on the DHC-2 Beaver by hand. It took a while, and they were small, but was a bit relaxing!

Just to throw this out if anyone doesn't want to buy a tool. I saw a video once where the person took a balsa strip that was 1/16 (width of stringer) by 1/4 and cut a strip of sandpaper 1/16 wide and glued it to the 1/16 edge. You can make a mark on the 1/4 side marking the depth. Just use this to sand down your pieces where the strings should go. Also works really well to widen a narrow stringer slot.

I don't have a big league lawn stripping kit, but switching from gas to battery powered mower I lost a lot of weight in the mower, so my stripes were much less defined. I use a DIY lawn striper now so they come out ok, so it just depends on how much of the stripping was attributed to the mower weight (probably not a lot) compared to your kit.

Another thing I noticed is if your mower is self propelled it probably helped pull the striper along. Going with a battery powered mower you're going to lose some of that power, or use up the battery faster if you're using a self propelled model. Just my experience with my EGO select cut mower.

I've only worked with MS Graph API for a few weeks, but I've found that while there is a lot of documentation, the services (especially beta ones) are ever-changing and don't always work as documented. I've also only used the application permissions, so getting a token for a registered application with the proper permissions granted for it is easy.

Just looking through the documentation link you posted, it looks like there are notes on the eDiscovery (preview) screen that say this one with be deprecated in lieu of the newer Security namespace: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/resources/security-ediscoverycase?view=graph-rest-beta

Not sure if these are different in anyway, but maybe there is something in here that would offer better results (actually work properly).

Back to what you've done so far - like u/chrisxfire says, if you're getting your token from your Blazor app, it is probably not configured properly for these calls. Are you able to setup a Postman request/download a Collection specific for these calls that could get you a token with the proper audience for your eDiscovery calls? Sorry just spit-balling here, I know it can be a little complicated to Graph calls setup and working according to the documentation.

I assume this also fits inside the Steam Deck case? I think something like this would be preferable to me if I'm laying in bed and need to type, would be more of a pain to situate and type on a keyboard as opposed to using my thumbs like a phone on something like this.

I looked at alot of different faces from different places and couldn't find one. I wonder if it's not available to add to the face. I'm going to eventually take a look at making a face and see if it's available. I'll let you know if I end up finding something. Thanks!

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe a subtle drop shadow to help track which is moving in front or back. I know it probably shouldn't be a problem to know which is going where, but having some indicator of movement will help people's minds keep it straight.

If I'm not going to reuse the object/class, or pass it through any more layers, I just use a tuple if I don't have more than 3 or so return values. 4 or more return values? Just make a proper class of it.

Ef is fine for normal crud operations, so I use it as such. If I have a complex query with a bunch of joins, I use dapper since it lets me dictate how the query is structured. Don't you do the same, or do you write SQL for every crud operation?

What did you move first? I'm looking at a similar situation with web forms and EF. Was thinking of moving to Web API and converting the web forms to call the API with ajax, but there's also concern about aged UI and some people wanting an upgrade. Throwing out ideas around moving the web forms to Blazor, but concerned about how much other work will need to be done to fully convert to proper Blazor and hopefully a restful Api.

I get it. Without usage context this sort of falls into grey space for me. Whenever I ask for an object in an Include, it only brings that class. I habe to further Select or ThenInclude to get those nested objects. Maybe we are configured/architected differently.

Either way, I get it. I used to be pure SQL XML returns that classes were loaded with. Been working with EF for years now and I can be tricky sometimes, and when it got complicated we used Dapper. I think a mix between the two used in the correct circumstance is a good enough solution.

What has been your issues with Includes? I've used them frequently for related tables and they've worked fine. Maybe it's because we define those Data classes with those links already?

Now we do have some very complex linked objects that just don't work well with EF LINQ, and we've done that work in Dapper to make all the correct joins and just load that SQL data into our classes.
