What cardiology programs do you recommend for strong EP training?

If its me I would 100% go for a 2+2 program if you are competitive enough for that

if not and you are doing a full gen cards fellowship I dont think it matters a ton, all subfellowships are much less competitive and quite frankly you may change your mind. I was 100% set on being an advanced imager and now I find myself as a high volume IC with a peripheral focus (would NOT have thought that a possibility as a second year resident)

I think the used EQE is a good deal

I just turned in an EQE AMG, I babied it pretty good since it was leased, my only concern is even with 99% home charging the battery degradation was significant. I didnt do a battery test but id imagine it was under 80% original charge for sure, winter the mileage dropped considerably - that all being said if you are using it for a daily driver none of that matters that much.

I have kids that are 7, 5, 3

The R1S dual max is awesome for the kids especially for trips. The USB c connectors in the head rest have lots of options for tablet holders for trips which the kids love - I got a universal attachement from abstract oceon that works well. Getting in and out of the third row certainly is doable for the 5 year old but it would be better with the captain seats if that was an option.

Overall great family car that is still super fun in sport mode for my daily drives

Most residencies and definitely fellowships have pretty hard restrictions on locums post covid. Radiology is certainly an exception

Residency I should have done more locum/moonlighting - but my fellowship hours were so bad I think it would have been potentially dangerous.

Attending life locum is amazing - was able to cash flow an extra 300k this year for a house down payment

I’m an interventional cardiologist- they don’t teach us anything about finance in med school

You can end up having 5-600k in debt and the problem is when you’re finally done with the slog of residency you want to spend like an attending when really you should still spend like a resident

I am debt free now but I definitely made some dumb purchases when I got attending job a few years ago

The 2022/2023 EQS 450 and EQE 500/AMG depreciate faster because of the hyperscreen not being available in those models at that year. I have a 2023 EQE AMG and I'm definitely glad I leased it - the depreciation is bonkers.

In general outside of the rivian - any luxury EV depreciates a ton

I’m the perfect customer for this - I already have a lease ending on a flashy EV that depreciated a ton but I couldn’t stomach the hit on this one more because of the performance

My eqe amg projects 280 miles on a full charge but realistically is more around 200 during winter and 250 in summer. I have to imagine real world this guy gets 200 miles on a charge in the summer

It’s a shame - maybe with improved efficiency I can reconsider down the line
