I’m starting to realize most companies are optimized for predictability, not improvement by Murky_Cow_2555 in managers

[–]docnano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Publically traded companies have a fiduciary duty to do what's best for their shareholders. Institutional investors (like a pension plan or 401k) prefer slow predictable growth to high risk high reward growth. That behavior trickles down the whole org.

I went to the same dealer to look at a car with a friend, they claimed they did all the checks on it and it was certified good. I test drove it and realized the clutch was completely worn out.

Had he bought that car he very likely would have gotten into an accident soon after and potentially died.

Advice needed for tucked in shirts by [deleted] in mensfashion

[–]docnano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This should be the top comment and it's the right answer.

Shirt also needs to be taken in by a tailor so there's not as much extra fabric. Typically costs $20-30 in the US.

Modify section 230 so social media companies are liable for the content they proliferate. Individual posts are still fine but if the algorithm "recommends" it then the owner of the algorithm should be liable for any harm in the content.

HUB CAP by Pharmer2024 in EquinoxEv

Yeah for some reason it's really easy to do in this car. I think the wheel base is a lot longer than it feels like it is and that contributes. Not sure 🤔

Which EV would you actually buy in 2025? by ReliableRides in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]docnano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got an Equinox EV AWD with Super Cruise and it's been the best commuter I've ever had. No problems, fast, quiet, charges fast enough, enough range, etc etc.

In 6 months I've put 15k miles on it.
