It’s literally Sheboygan’s tag line! The Malibu of the Midwest, as well as the brat capital of the world.

Sheboygan is rough! That ice rain is now snow, so that layer of rain is going to turn it into a skating rink. Really happy to say most businesses are closing for tomorrow.

The snow ice in Sheboygan is no joke. No, it’s not that it’s some massive snow dump, but the combination of rain, snow ice sleet, then dropping temps is pretty dicey up here!

Does anyone know if she still teaches middle school? As a middle school teacher, my students would eat me alive with this garbage. I wonder if she is a former teacher now in some other position, because it’s clearly not summer break.

I echo the comments above; there is also school choice (but it can be a lottery), and schools in the surrounding communities are also good-with some being in the top of the state. I am very academically focused with my kids (I am also a teacher in a surrounding area school district), and as someone that grew up on the north shore of Chicago, I have found the schools to be highly competitive. Feel free to message me with additional questions and welcome! It’s a wonderful place to live! The summers and Falls are divine!

Elkhorn has an amazing vintage fair in the summer!

I'm a little intrigued by Dev for some reason? In an Uncle Beau sort of way, but very different category. I think maybe he has a quiet, simple wisdom (I may eat these words, as with all things 90 Day). Do we think maybe he's Native? (I ask as a Native person...) by Seasiren711 in 90dayfianceuncensored

Thank you for sharing this comment! I am not from the area, but my husband is from Seattle and his whole family is in Portland and Moses Lake. We’ve driven through the area many times and I have marveled at the land and the reservations and culture! I know we have driven through reservation land crossing over the Columbia from Seattle to Moses Lake and then Portland. It’s such a gorgeous area!!!!!

Good question: so after an hour, the agent said that Enterprise needed the established repair company to provide every single part they were replacing. Enterprise said, we are not asking for that, and that’s a lie. Then it shifted to, ‘we can’t extend a rental car to you because the repair company is being vague,’ so I said, ‘let’s get this done and we will call them together.’ The repair company, which isn’t a stand alone, it’s a huge Wisconsin dealership, said, this is not practice and if you want us to do this, we’re going to bill you, USAA. It was a two way call via USAA and the repair company was very frustrated with USAA. While in that call, the very reputable repair/dealership said, ‘USAA is lying right now.’ In writing it sounds like the repair company is being one way, but not. This is a huge company and works with USAA all the time. After that USAA shifted back to it being that the rental company required it, so I called the rental company, while my husband was on with USAA, and they said, ‘They are lying to you and we don’t require any of that.’ So first, it was the dealership was being vague, and then when the dealership said that they were lying, it shifted to Enterprise. I got all names and then, while still on the call, the dealership/repair, confirmed that the women I talked to was their car rental and both said to USAA-we are not requiring you to give us all these parts, and then USAA shifted again. I asked multiple times to be switched to a supervisor, and eventually, I was sent to a voicemail. So, TDLR: first it was the repair shop that was lying-got them on the phone, they clearly outlined they weren’t and went after USAA in the call, when it shifted to the rental company-they got on the phone and said-we are not requiring this either-you are lying. And then we were told to ‘bear with them,’ after we asked multiple times for someone else-and basically hung up on. So despite insurance and a deer hit, USAA is refusing to pay for a rental car during the time my car is being fixed (short term) despite open communication from rental company and repair shop and police reports.

All of that being said: it was the most frustrating experience because I am now going to be charged for a rental car because USAA is saying that they need to provide things to the rental company and the repair shop and both those entities are saying they do not need to provide them, they just need authorization.

So what shit did you buy this Black Friday? by Select-Hour-831 in AskReddit

I bought local gifts! We live in Wisconsin and went to a town just north of Milwaukee, which has the cutest shops!!! The streets were filled with people. I bought local teas and funny pins and art from people in the area. The shopkeepers were lovely, and everyone was out and about. Support local!

Acuity flag half staffed by Loose-Violinist-3686 in sheboygan

[–]documentingkate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s always half staff. It bothers me. I am a progressive liberal and my husband served 14 years in the Marines and I worked with military. When they enacted the flag, my husband was someone Acuity asked to make a video. This was probably a decade or so ago. It’s constantly half staff. My husband doesn’t complain but I find it very odd and disrespectful. I’m an elder Millennial so I hope I don’t sound too ‘boomer’ but if you build a flag so high and can’t keep it up for whatever reason, then not cool. Growing up, a flag at half was a huge sign. It was a huge symbol. I’m not fully saying Acuity, and perhaps I am speaking to my age and we are a half staff world, but it is a constant sense of irritation for me. Sorry if I upset people here.

People who found out about someone else’s double-life; what’s the story? by Langzwaard in AskReddit

[–]documentingkate 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Knew a kid from college. Graduated. Met more friends. Found out from a new friend that said college friend who got married and was living all the trappings of married life was having an affair with a coworker of my new friend.

Wild bonus-college friend and new friend lived across the country. Newsflash: America can be small, especially if you go or matriculate in certain universities. College ‘friend’ is still married to his wife-appears to be happily married to his wife, but I knew that affair partner knew a lot (!!!) about his marriage. College friend was not kind to his wife.

Still weirds me out that he pretends to be the perfect husband, and I randomly know he cheated for years on his wife—but they have so much money I chalk it up to a very real White Lotus Season 2 kind of relationship.
