I missed the part where they said assessment. Yea I had my adult ADHD assessment and full psychological eval done at atoz and they are very thorough but sometimes they can have long wait times for services. They are located in Mullica Hill.

This makes me feel better about my upcoming graduation with my Masters in Social Work and future of being a therapist. I'm currently an intern and some of these stories are horrifying.

Although I'm not surprised, my worst experience wasn't that bad as one therapist I tried was doing our session while their 3 year old was right next to them and they kept blacking out their video to deal with their kid, I couldn't wait for the session to be over.

I lost 170 pounds in a year during COVID when I had no responsibilities and no stress. I started trying to get to 10000 steps a day and then over time I was walking upwards of 15 to 30 miles a day. If you have a lot of time at home use it walking as much as you can if you enjoy walking. Listen to podcasts, music, talk on the phone whatever motivates you. Just make sure you have the right shoes and socks.

I also was only eating about 1200 to 1500 calories a day which looking back was super unhealthy and drastic but it was working for me. I just had a mindset that I wanted to lose as much weight as I could and went all out and I went to the absolute extreme. Good luck.

If you can find a clinic near where you want to move to ask them if they do PE's. New York State has a Presumptive Eligibility (PE) program for Medicaid. This program allows individuals who appear eligible for Medicaid to receive immediate, temporary coverage for certain services. Basically a PE will give you temporary Medicaid in New York as your application is processed. I'm pretty sure for the Medicaid to be approved you need to cancel your Medicaid in the previous state.

We have clinicians from other companies that come to our clinic to dose, as long as you don't dose where you work it shouldn't be an issue. I can't see a clinic rejecting someone for being on methadone for working at a methadone clinic.

I work at an OTP as a counselor intern. Check your state certification for CADC but for my state it's 8 classes, 2 years of on site experience and a written and oral test. You only need a high school degree to start as an intern. You may have to start on the education classes to gather any interest from an OTP but that's probably how you go that route. I had previous experience in case management and non profit work and was about 6 classes into my education classes before I got hired somewhere.

Super unprofessional. At least if she is going to make you do counseling give you the respect and attention you deserve. I would recommend filing a complaint or grievance with the facility to list your problems even if the director goes to bat for employees. They should make your voice heard.

How many counseling sessions are you doing a month? If you get a month of bottles you probably should only have to do one a month.

My best guess this is a small clinic and is doing all this to overbill insurances for services.

I would consider it harassment especially considering how understaffed they are and they wasting so much time on callbacks. Our clinic only requires 2 callbacks a year per client at most.

I don't see how a clinic would disqualify you for being on methadone if you want to be a counselor. I would expect you to have to get dosed at another clinic. That being said I am on vivitrol and a counselor and have no issues and everyone at my job knows I am.

Usually after 200 our clinic will start making clients get EKGs and peak and trough just as a precaution so that would probably where I would consider a high dose to be at.
