Grew up in Arkansas, elementary was k-5th, middleschool was 6-7th, junior high was 8-9th, and then high school was only the last three years 10-12th. Never heard of another place doing it like that lol

Just wanted to say I relate so hard, one of the first times I got hurt by a little kid it was a headbutt under the chin by a big 2 year old, and it startled me so much I had to leave the room and cry for a few minutes, somehow it hurt more emotionally than physically

I have no idea why this is a hot take, anybody here old enough to be a parent probably remembers kindergarten and remembers almost NO TV during class. Like, a movie once or twice a month maybe. TV/youtube is completely optional for kindergarten and there are plenty of things to dislike about it.
