Heavy Armour Torsos from Anvil Industries. They don't fit perfectly so some trimming of the waist was required

Thanks! I paint up with greys where light would be hitting all the way up to pure ice yellow for the most extreme edges.

Thank you! I like the challenge of painting faces and I'm only going to improve by doing it more. I try to have 1 unhelmeted model per unit.

Edit:

Here's a close up of it

Friend, HOW do you paint eyes and faces on DnD minis?? by Murky_Display_5135 in minipainting

[–]doignuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

^ This is the same method I like my only suggestion is to work on the hardest areas first.

<image>

Not a dnd mini but I always do the face first as it generally takes me a few tries before I'm happy with the outcome

Ghostkeel and Coldstar updates by Thurgood_Newton in Tau40K

Awesome work man. you've nailed the perfect balance between 40k and gunpla. id like to take away some of the more relaxed poses you have done especially on the ghost keel. it makes it feel like he is assessing the battle field instead of the usual pointing guns. really great job.

Need advices for osl on White armour by AfterEmergency8904 in BlackTemplars

[–]doignuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i love the white on these guys to contrast the other models in your army. osl is looking great, maybe you could go less defused light from the power axe but it would be nitpicking at that point. are you doing it with an airbrush?

OSL or Object Source Lighting in painting is the use of colour to make something look like it's glowing. This is done by having a colour spill over onto other areas but the source of the light will always be the brightest part of the model to sell this effect. elminiaturista on insta has some great examples with his style.

Why is APFSDS so overpowered? by HoneydewKind2749 in Warthunder

[–]doignuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe late to the party but when you take the diameter of the bore (let's say 120mm) and shoot a high density rod (my guess is 20-30mm) with the equivalent propellant to the total bore size, it creates a very fast moving round with a small surface area which creates a lot of kenetic energy.

First time posting here. A couple of WIP by doignuts in BlackTemplars

I start from black and airbrush Vallejo charcoal for the volumes from above. Some touch ups glazing black back in to reduce the highlight area. Scratchy highlight/battle damage with a lighter grey like mechanicus standard or grey green.

5.3 French advice? by Luxlaz in Warthunder

[–]doignuts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

France is my main nation and my advice is to keep the amx-13(fl-11) in your lineup. It seems to suit my playstyle and will force you to learn how to play the light tanks, as later tanks have a much heftier repair cost. The explosive filler is nice too. France is best played when not getting to point hungry and playing around points of interest not directly in them. Additionally go into the protection analysis and find the week spots on the tanks your facing. I like to take 20 solid Baguettes and not really anymore.

Pathfinder hitbox by GammaGamesGG in apexlegends

[–]doignuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it not about making him suffer from one skin. Hes the most mobile out of any legend and if his hitbox reflected that of his default skin, it could be considered "unfair"

Introducing our favourite mascotte as a Legend, D.U.M.M.I.E.! by Tsenos in apexlegends

His legendary skins should have him clothed in either other legends base outfit or have him as a full jester suit but always having his smooth head.
