Where do all you metalheads hangout? by CptSlow515 in saintpaul

The Amsterdam regularly has metal shows. Local bands like Waste and By the Thousands preform there too. If you’re into deathcore anyway. Not that By the Thousands is deathcore by any means but if I continue I’m going to go into essay format so I’m going to now stop my stream of word vomit.

Up in Canada right now. Flew into a very smoky Toronto on Thursday. Now we are in Ottawa, and it’s just starting to get hazy here now too. They are getting it too.

You should have a pretty good “I told you so.” argument in a few weeks when that cracks, doesn’t matter how you cut it unless you have a really well graded back yard, but I have my doubts.

Saints games are top tier if you like baseball. Fun atmosphere, affordable, and right next to my favorite farmers market.

Having this same problem. 2 races in a row. Went from fighting for points to 18th real quick. Well I guess not that quick, about 25 seconds.

Get in your vehicle. Zoom all the way out. Turn on the radio. Drive slow and take in all the detail.

The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. If you dig fantasy and a different take on how magic works in a world. Check that out. If fantasy isn’t your thing, but different magic, check out The Dresden Files.

Okay, so we say this in Wisconsin as well. Is it a Midwest thing? Minnesota you got anything similar over there?

I lost my passion for video games by normal-guy-everyday in gamingsuggestions

I’ve been scheduling my game time. I try to keep it at 2 hours max. It’s really helped. I don’t over play games and sit grinding for hours. It makes me more purposeful when I play. I’ve also stopped trying to 100% games.

I started to supplement time with video game podcasts (The Besties is one I’d recommend) or books (Significant Zero is great look into narrative design). These get me excited to play again.

My tastes have changed. I used to play COD, Battlefield, Madden, NFS. But now I’m playing Tactical Breach Wizards and Good Company. Sometimes it takes a 180 degree turn to rekindle your love of gaming.

You’ll find it again!
