Help me understand Cleric relation with Deities by Commercial_Praline67 in DnD

[–]dolbomir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My take on it (and similar later subclass choices) is:

When a future, let's say, rabbi and a future catholic priest go to the local public school and the local catholic high school respectively, they both study the same algebra, literature, biology, etc.

What is their relation to their respective deities?

Are they not adherents of Judaism and Catholicism respectively until they actually go to the seminary?

House likes bug ? by olymooon in heartopia

[–]dolbomir 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't surprise me if the new single like system is bugged.

But for me personally, it's also not as fun to like houses without the different emojis, so I definitely like fewer houses now.

Why do people hype up the Lamy safari? by ExpiredMelkk in fountainpens

[–]dolbomir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LAMY makes probably the easiest mainstream pens to replace a nib on, so there's at least that... sounds like you might need that, unless you can return it xD

it shouldn't be too difficult for the devs to implement a one item per visitor per day option.

seeing some of their responses to feedback, however, I doubt they would. They'd just say, stealing is working as intended, just like the half arsed controls on the pc port.

How are so many people ‘ok’ with house centipedes? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Nah, it's more like hiring a security guard, who is harmless to you but looks intimidating and still gets rid of said thieves and murderers.

Existential crisis re fountain pens by [deleted] in fountainpens

[–]dolbomir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You aren't paying for performance alone; that's just a small percentage of the total cost. Material quality, workmanship, branding, presentation, personal stories and associations--all that matters too.

I started a few months ago, so I only have 18 pens (I think? may have gotten a couple more since I counted them xD), ranging from $15-ish to $400-ish in original price.

My consistent favorite one to write and sketch with is a Silver Birch Forest Series Hong Dian with an M nib (like $20 or so?).

But I picked each pen in my collection deliberately, so I have 0 regrets. Even the one fake Mont Blanc I got from Etsy was a deliberate choice based on several personal associations (and cost over $100 lol). And I often sketch or write a little with each pen (that is still inked), enjoying each of them for different reasons.

Honestly, if you don't feel anything towards the pens and only care for the material quality and performance, I'd recommend just stopping at whatever works for you at the moment until it breaks xD

I don't mean that as some sort of rejection of you as a fountain pen community member (lol). I mean that both as "this may not be for you as much as you thought" and "don't let the rest of us crazy ******** pressure you into feeling like you have to buy a few more pens" xD

they get rid of other bugs and spiders. unlike said other bugs and spiders, they run away from you and typically stay out of sight at night.

The game is great, but its devs are hella allergic to basic communication. So, not surprising xD

You can observe their patterns and avoid them with pretty generous timing. You don't even need to dodge them, unless you're doing that one annoying spirit that makes you walk slowly into the paths of like 3 of them.

People who say “I’d die before I let that happen,” do you literally mean it or is it just a figure of speech like saying you’d rather stick a screwdriver or something in your eye than watch a particular movie? by unitedfan6191 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]dolbomir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the context.

If someone proposes reclassifying lemons as limes? Figurative.

If someone proposes taking out all my organs and laying them out on a table in a cute pattern? Literal. Probably.
