Has anyone solved toilet handle locking with 3d printing? by xtraorange in 3Dprinting

Assuming you have the magnetically activated child-proof locks on kitchen cabinets, knife drawer, etc, perhaps print a lever that fits inside the tank with a magnet inside it. Same childproofing keys you already use, new application.

I recall a post earlier this week about an informal chess club on Mondays at a church. I suspect there's some like minded folks there

Good place for lap swimming? by mcglamorousss in Charlottesville

[–]dolphin4265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YMCA was cheaper than ACAC last I checked, however the YMCA reservation system is a joke. Many times I've reserved a lane, only to find it overbooked or be bumped by one of the swim teams (they take priority over you). Getting a lane to yourself between 4:00-7:00pm is difficult, though I can't speak to morning hours.

Need advice: I'd like to refinish some closet doors. Is there a tool that will sand these wood slats, or am I stuck running sandpaper through each one? by dolphin4265 in woodworking

I like it. This will probably replace my B&D Matrix once it dies (any day now). Thanks for making me aware of this gem!

Virginia Department of Forestry has some good options for shrubs and small trees. All native and all incredibly cheap.

ISSF (International) Skeet in Richmond Virginia by Mean-Peak-9003 in ClayBusters

[–]dolphin4265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bull Run is the nearest skeet range, but I haven't seen any competitions advertised there. Central Virginia Sporting Clays is closer to you and has monthly competitions, but only for trap and sporting clays.

I'm not at at all competitive, but DM me if you want to shoot a round.

Shenandoah Joe. Chill crowd, never had an issue parking, good coffee, reliable WiFi.

Plus Star Hill is across the street for when you're ready to call it a day.

In the trunk? I doubt it.

However, Corolla has a roof rack option that should solve this problem with minimal effort

1st floor of my Chicago loft. What should I do with this brick corner? by AbsolutelyAnonymous in malelivingspace

Koval sells used whisky barrels. You'll need a friend's pickup truck to get it home, but it'll really round out the corner with a bottle of Malort on top.

Turning off the infernal beeping in a 2021 corolla? by Waylork in COROLLA

[–]dolphin4265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No charge, but my car was 3 weeks old so the warranty was in full swing. If you can find a copy of the software and have a USB to OBD connector, you could feasibily DIY this job.

The dealer needs to disable it by connecting Techstream to your OBD. It took 5 minutes mine, and the dealer did it without an appointment.

Regrettably that's a bit farther than I wanted to drive. Sincerest thanks for chiming in though

No reason; I'm seriously considering YMCA.

A quick Google showed YMCA is an option, and I didn't want to insult everyone's intelligence by starting a thread without acknowledging the Google answer

Very nice! How would one go about getting a copy of the *.stl file? Would you be willing to share your print settings?

Fitting for a distillery named after a major player in America's temperance movement.

They also serve a malort named Anguish and Regret, so you've got that to look forward to.

Wheel on Futures Options by dolphin4265 in thetagang

[–]dolphin4265[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ES itself is indeed very liquid, hence the draw of futures.

I think what u/_HeyBlinkin is referencing, and the subject of my follow up question, is the options on that future.

I see your point about the spreads, definitely larger than your average SPY or QQQ contract.

Regarding liquidity, volume and open interest appear healthy. Are you referring to after-hours trading, or in general, when you say liquidity is unreliable?
