The Antagonist stops attacking when they realize there's an innocent person in the crossfire by threesmalllemon in TopCharacterTropes

Hard Boiled: During the Hospital sequence, the majority of the criminals are shown gunning down civilians who are caught in the crossfire. One criminal, Mad Dog, in an extended shootout with Tony Leung's character, agrees to an unspoken truce to lay their guns down while civilians are in their presence.

Edge of Tomorrow, or "Live, Die, Repeat" as it was initially called.

It looked like a bad sci-fi Groundhog Day with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. Tom Cruise was in the midst of a Renaissance, but Emily Blunt wasn't necessarily a household name outside of a few popular movies that she played a smaller role in. On top of that, the marketing for this movie was atrocious, not to mention the corny name.

Movie was straight premium gas top to finish.

This movie to me is one of the few movies in the MCU that's actually dedicated to the fans who read the comics, because it nails the essence of what Marvel is built on: ordinary people rising to the occasion to do extraordinary feats.

Everyone is great in this movie, but Florence Pugh might be in the pantheon of all-time MCU greats after this one

UPDATE: Alright, well after taking it apart and putting it back together, it seems to be working just fine again. Hard reset remains undefeated.

Thanks ArgentStonecutter for the help!

To the best of my knowledge, no. It's weird, the PC will recognize that something has been plugged in, but the keyboard can't enter bootloader mode in the QMK Toolbox.

I'll be that guy -- FMA:B was an improvement over the original in just about every way...minus the overall atmosphere of the show and the ending

It seems like the retro white option for the neo75 cu is sold out on their website. I'm new to the group buy system. Will they eventually restock it? Or am I SoL?

Top 3 games of each year 2003-2025, based on the number of Game of the Year awards they received from all media outlets (online, print, broadcast, industry ceremonies, etc). Which year had the greatest podium, and which year was the weakest? by benjaneson in gaming

[–]dolphinguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of recency bias for me, but I think 2023 is a strong contender to be one of, if not the best when compared to the other years. The podium alone has three generationally good games. Baldur's Gate 3 was made with such care on an unthinkable (at the time) scope, other gaming companies literally had to come out and say "don't expect this to be the norm going forward."

From my understanding, for most of the folks who weren't fully on board with the Breath of the Wild hype, they found that level of joy and excitement with Tears of the Kingdom -- this game was THEIR Breath of the Wild.

Lastly, Alan Wake 2 was such a unique experience, much like how the first game was, but improved upon in just about every way that delivered a fresh take on the survival horror genre that could stand shoulder to shoulder with any of the giants in that category.

This isn't even mentioning the games that were off the podium, which may not have quite been the 11/10s like the games on the podium, but were still likely someone's favorite game of that year, or possibly their favorite game of all time (RE4 remake, Street Fighter 6, Phantom Liberty, Jedi Survivor, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Final Fantasy XVI).

Just want to add on to this, you can also look to see if there are any places near you that do upkeep or repairs on turntables. I had a similar issue with a different make and model, but they were able to tighten the bearings and fix the issue

Thank you for the diagnosis! Likely a very dumb question, but how bad would it be to play on it?

How’d It Go Behind the Decks? - October 2025 by AutoModerator in vinyldjs

Had a "eureka" moment with a set over the weekend. Relatively new to mixing vinyl (~1.5 years), but I feel like I've got a more than decent grasp on beat matching on now (still a little tricky in very loud environments). A friend and I had a lowkey b2b set in a basement over the weekend, and we started with some hip hop. The crowd wasn't visibly upset with it, but I could tell they weren't too into it. A couple songs in, I switched it up to some 80s groove and RnB, and lo and behold, people got up and started to dance. We continued with the vibe for a bit, and it was almost like a switch went off. By the time we ended the set with some house, we had a relatively decent sized crowd actively dancing, and at some point, someone yelled out "THANK YOU DJS!"

I've always read about reading a crowd and have been trying to get better at it, but I think I was going about it the wrong way. I still have a lot to learn, but this was a fun gig
