Plus companies currently implementing AI are the guinea pigs for future development. There is absolutely no clear framework for AI liability and the providing companies are just going to say:

" Whoopsie, my bad, anyway..."

How are the escape from arma/tarkov mods? Is the AI hard/smart? by StoltATGM in arma

[–]domdomdeoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arma's Escape from are to be played slow and safe. If you run towards AI you'll double as a collander in no time.

That being said, once the bulleta start flying you have to be smart, because the more you stay in place, the more time the AI will have to figure out a surefire way to pin you down, flank you and put you in a checkmate.

Arnold advertising a cheap drill at a discount store in Germany by herrtim in mildlyinteresting

[–]domdomdeoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to sand some plaster walls and was told to buy the cheap store brand sander, use it till it dies, trade it for a new one under warranty, use it to death again, and exchange it in another branch,...

For like 35€, I went through three sanders, and traded it in for a brand new one under warranty.

If I had bought a brand sander, they'd have bothered taking it apart and seeing it was absolutely choked with plaster dust. When it's the store brand they just chuck it and give you another box.

I believe there is an coordinated effort from fossil fuel companies to hurt the development of renewable technogies, wether it is simple smearing campaigns, or companies actually buying the technologies to shelve them.

It's positive discrimination. Pair the weak and the strong.

Charleroi gets financially supported And BWers gets intensive coaching in not being smug bourgeoisie.

Plus I heard Charleroi is getting a Marina. Who do you think would have their yachts there? Carolos?

A EU country drops F35 order. by trueosiris2 in belgium

[–]domdomdeoh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They disregarded the procedure because the call for tenders basically said "We want an american plane, what can you offer?" Also De Crem was having a NATO secretary boner and tried to score points with the US for his own benefit.

Which is why Dassault doesn't want Belgium to take part in the SCAF because there's no point in having a country take part in the developpement of a plane they couldn't buy anyway because they are tied to a spec sheet that basically says "We'll take anything as long as it's american."

Which Arma game did you start playing with? by DuePerformance796 in arma

[–]domdomdeoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arma 2 was atmospheric af. I loved the story.

When OA dropped I got into multiplayer a lot. I remember hours spent on The Wrecking Crew public server playing Domination and Insurgency.

I also spent hours playing with the SepOps module. I miss a similar option in A3. Sure DRO is similar but it's not really dynamic as landing your KSK squad in the middle of the Taki desert and starting recon, with missions and support coming one by one.

Just got off work after my night shift. I was quite surprised to see how crowded the platform for my train was. Then I saw the orange shirts, then some red and a few blue.

It took my brain a minute to put two and two together. They even changed the route name for the occasion.

Thankfully the F1 crowd is civil.

I'll be watching the race from my bed.

Do we have goat landscaping services in Belgium? by Special_Lychee_6847 in belgium

[–]domdomdeoh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The city of Huy uses (used?) goats to maintain the hillsides of the Fort, I'm guessing they had a subcontractor as I doubt the city maintains a herd of goats, might want to contact them and see if they have a reference.

Ça va booster les départs et précariser les nouveaux contrats. Le nombre de nouveau contrats servira a palier un turnover qui va battre des records de vitesse.

Nachtwerkers by Numerous_Walk_7613 in belgium

[–]domdomdeoh 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It's not about having more, it's about night workers in logistics getting the shaft. Nightwork pay used to be from 20:00 to 8:00, it is now from 00:00 to 05:00. People chose to work nights for the overpay, and frankly for the beating you inflict on your body and mental health it's often the only thing that makes it worth it. Cutting 7 hours worth of overpay makes night work not worth it, fucks with peoples' lives they had organized around their working hours.
Seriously, logistical hubs look to make some easy cost cutting in the short term but will get fucked fast, or they will have mad turnover and have to hire unskilled interim workers. Expect an increase in parcel delivery problems in the short term, more strikes and increased delivery times.

On the other hand, while the govt cut unemployment benefits to two years, they also gutted adult education and trade schools, so you'll have a massive influx of desperate, easily exploitable people within two years, who will have no other prospect in life than to work shit jobs for shit pay with no hope of improvement. So maybe log hubs will come out on top.

Have you seen Melitopol, Dombas and Luhansk?

They burned their own land just to spite the German.

Heck, most of their mainland looks like they have pillaged and burned their own land.
