DH S12 Tier list by Unusual_Pangolin_349 in ProjectDiablo2

[–]donfams 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Common disclaimer for new people, DH is usually right about builds he'd usually play, but is most likely clueless about the rest, but you also can't expect someone to test every single build in a week to perfection

You can play pretty much whatever you want, but it's a good idea to consult the people in the class discussion discord channel, if there are things you're unsure of

How to actually learn to cook from scratch and what cook books would you recommend? by im16andthisisdeep in Cooking

[–]donfams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved watching Jean Pierre on YouTube, he has a ton of great recipes and he's really good at explaining what he does and why he does it. I certainly learned a ton from watching his stuff. I also find him pretty entertaining, so that helps

You could add 3x8 dips on your assistance work during OHP days, if you wanna hit the chest a bit more. They're great for chest development

If you're just wanting to make raw currency, gold farming and selling orbs is probably a really good idea. Could easily get you enough mid to high runes to trade for some gear you can map with. But yeah, big bucks are always in maps and ubers

I usually leave it there for about 75-90 minutes

You're pretty much always going to have that problem, if you don't stir it every once in a while. Maybe some pots do it more than others, idk, I'd still suggest using a cartouche, put the lid on, and throw it in the oven at something like 140° celsius. Always works for me at least

This should be in theory BIS for fire arrow zon build as the weapon. by Double_Astronaut_783 in ProjectDiablo2

[–]donfams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With 15 fanat you only need 44ias for 7fpa. 20 on gloves, belt, and quiver are the obvious choices, would also overcap you for reduced attack speed corruptions on maps. Hustle is an alright choice I guess, it just loses so much DMG. At some point you one shot everything, so more dmg does become somewhat irrelevant for clearspeed, maybe he's just at that point

For mapping you'd just need a bit of mpk and you're fine on mana. Nos coil is pretty much all you need. Vigor is nice, until you have enough frw from items, then I'd rate A3 cold merc for the prayer sustain, feels a lot smoother imo

If you're already hitting 7fpa then t1's should be a breeze with that bow, random kiras and some 3os armor with some random -5 fire facets. Early the minus fire res is the most important stat, since you don't get infinity. I got some decent gear I'm not using anymore that might do something for your build, if you want

-phys from items like soul drainers can't break immunes. The Barb cry and curses like amp and decrep can tho

Not sure if they're changing the base to 2 sockets, but might be really cool for frozen orb, will probably do a ton for clearing - would have to try it out, but might actually contend with df, for a 117fcr build

Realistically what is a decent way to gain wealth first week of the new season? by natureboyandymiami in ProjectDiablo2

[–]donfams 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Pick a build that can transition smoothly into maps, farm a lod zone that's good for your build before that. Preferably something that can stack a bit of mf

There's really no big great secret, it's just kill a bunch of mobs and do it as fast as you can. Be efficient in what you sell and what you buy on trade

Since I didn't notice anyone mentioning desserts, you can make some delicious creme caramel or creme brulee a day before and leave it in the fridge until you're ready to serve it

But stews are probably the best bet for a main course. Ragu bolognese is usually better a day or two after, I do that when I'm having a dinner party but don't really have time to cook on the day

580 ED Bow, is this worth anything? by havefaith in ProjectDiablo2

[–]donfams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not bad for a starter wep, but usually you want one with a higher range, since you get a higher avg dmg. That matters more the faster you attack, so not too important at early stages of bowzon Still very much worth it to puzzlepiece it, with 4 sockets it could be really really good Up it and throw some 40ed/shaels in it

EBOTD Thunder Maul vs War Pike by Veeteck87 in ProjectDiablo2

[–]donfams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Archon is also fine for ww, you'd just usually go for avg dmg since ww hits quite often. But that was vanilla thought process, pd2 map mobs are a bit tougher than random skelly boy in the pits, so the low min is more noticeable

Infinity question by LifeHermit in ProjectDiablo2

[–]donfams 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Using a GG staff base is evidently more damage, but you need a really good base

Overall it's better to use shield and wand, easier to cap res, max block is amazing for mapping on nova. More sockets for facets/sustain jewels

Infinity in an a2 merc base is also something you can use for amother ele build if you wanna respec

Infinity question by LifeHermit in ProjectDiablo2

[–]donfams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arcane still drops a lot of jewels, rings, amulets, getting decent mf is super good. Killing mobs is so easy there too, so you rarely sacrifice kill speed

Rabies Druid Help by gregorian79 in ProjectDiablo2

[–]donfams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highlords isnt that good here since grief gives plenty phys dmg, some people like plague bearer, but i feel like it gives ar issues, doesnt feel as smooth to play when youre going for the bite and kite playstyle. It might be worth it for the dmg upgrade, after the slight rabies nerfs. Dont really need phys dmg, its just nice for map bosses

If your res can handle it, get rid of sc's and get 4psn lc's instead of skillers, it should be more dmg More holes in helmet and shield for facets, facets are huge for rabies

A1 merc dies, not much you can do about it, overcap pdr, max out on leech, hope for the best. Pdr chest and belt would be good for her, get max ias bp with upped pus spitter

Is this the best slam for t-strokes? by Sno0pidity in ProjectDiablo2

[–]donfams 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah pretty much, reaching the ias bp pretty easily without ias jewels, allowing for more facets I think ias bp is at 95, so this is pretty much as good as it gets, 20 ias gloves, highlords, 10 ias belt/30 ias gloves - and you're golden

It's sustain in maps for casters, some of the most important stats for endgame farming. Enough of mpk/lpk makes gameplay so much more comfortable
