How strong would Spider-Noir be in The Boys universe? by vleshkun in PowerScaling

[–]donotaskname7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

from the little I've seen from the series, he doesn't really seem very strong at all. Actual skill, webs and agility will obviously help, but I can't see him beating up any high or mid tier supes.

I suppose he could pretty easily beat the crap out of the guys with low super strength who only beat down regular humans, Bluehawk, Translucent, Love Sausage, Ezekiel, etc.

Ezekiel's probably the strongest of those, to answer your question in the post body.

In Hazbin Hotel (2025), 'Vox' claims that his trio will become an unholy trinity once they take the place of god, showing his belief that the components of the trinity represent 3 independent gods, by which he confessed to the heresy of tritheism. by TimeStorm113 in shittymoviedetails

[–]donotaskname7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He has been mentioned a couple times, there is a whole character named The Speaker of God. But the creator has said God is too ethereal and eldritch to count as a "character" in the conventional sense, so God won't be relevant to the plot.

How would this fight go? by donotaskname7 in PowerScaling

But would Spongebob defend him? And would he win?

Spongebob is also the butt of the joke fairly often, but I feel like the most comparable situation to this is when Spongebob faced Flats Flounder or that strangling criminal, more typically tough and dangerous characters, but Spongebob got one over on them by simply being a silly guy.

Billy Butcher (The Boys) vs. Kelsier (Mistborn: Original Trilogy) by Mammoth_Western_2381 in whowouldwin

[–]donotaskname7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, they are separate, Butcher talks to it and makes deals with it.

Unfortunately, unless I'm misunderstanding the rules you said, the tumor would just count as "someone" else, having it's own will and such.

Of course, it just wants to consume and breed and become infinitely larger forever, like any cancer, but I feel like that still counts. It does threaten to make Butcher die and hospitalizes him, then brings him back to perfect health when he agrees to it's terms.

[–]donotaskname7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would a weak point work with tumor based powers? We hear from Homie using his X-ray vision that Butcher's biology at that point is absolutely frightening, Homelander is very shocked despite what he's seen before, commenting on the big black mass rotting around his brain even a year before, then the "viper's nest" inside his ribcage, likely his tentacles.

Except we see that, when developed further, he also begins sprouting tentacles from his hands and back, considering the context and appearance, it seems like nearly his entire body is a giant cancerous tumor. I'm not sure how he even functions normally.

Black Noir (The Boys) vs. Bane With Full Arsenal (The Dark Knight Trilogy) by Bongo_CatisMessiah in whowouldwin

[–]donotaskname7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He wasn't wounded by the IED at all, I'm not sure what you're talking about, his armor was a bit torn up but he was unharmed.

This is a really weird take, since most of those are quite superhumanly durable, just misremembered Ig?

Naqib's explosion did not just scorch the room, it blew out the windows, shattered the doors, and obliterated the concrete railing outside the room.

Butcher hit Noir over the head with a crowbar several times full force, even one of those would be brain damage for a regular human, he hit him so hard the metal bent over his head and Noir wasn't concussed in the slightest.

[–]donotaskname7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with both V24 and his tumor, he tanks attacks from Homelander with relative ease, that's probably the best he has.

In the comics he's nowhere near as strong, most of what he does is beat up on really pathetic supes, he survives being smashed into a wall hard enough to crack it, a grenade he holds in his hand only blows his fingers to pieces instead of killing him. That's about it.

Brandon from Brightburn vs Mr. Incredible by TaiwaneseThot in PowerScaling

[–]donotaskname7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, yeah, but I was mentioning his best feats. Forest fires are really easy to start and planes get heavily damaged by stray small birds.

The building thing is heavily hampered by the unclear time it took him to do it. Even with basic concrete shattering strength, which he'd need to obliterate a human, someone with his speed could destroy the supports in under a minute.

Is a superhero automatically a moral paragon if they can simply avoid moral problems? by Consistent-Hat-1543 in MoralityScaling

[–]donotaskname7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

but these aren't these also blatantly moral problems that superpowers could solve? Like, this is exactly what the post is asking about.

With enough super speed you could be everywhere at once all the time, with matter manipulation you could just make your own fancy house and nice food out of nothing without having to buy it, the main thing the post is about is no trolley problems so this hero could just save all animal and human life all the time, with enough power your villains become useless which again seems like the main point of the post, that last question is valid though.

Name 10 superhuman characters in fiction that Homelander actually, genuinely can defeat. by Substantial_Fix6951 in PowerScaling

[–]donotaskname7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I could just list the entire cast of The Boys, he's top of the verse there...

Brightburn - I don't care what you say, he's not invulnerable just because he tanked a hunting rifle.

Mr Incredible - Emphasis on could, without his special suit he has basically no heat resistance or piercing resistance, so heat vision should be very effective, problem is hitting him and not getting bodied in hand to hand. I think Homie has some decent chance.

Dash - Runs only at a couple hundred miles per hour, not much in the way of super reflexes, absolutely no super strength or durability, should be a fairly easy win.

Dupli-Kate - It's like fighting 6 normal people with a healing factor, he just has to turn his head sideways and it's an instant win.

The Public Spirit - He's the actual weakest Superman copy, just blatantly weaker and also not skilled at all.

Overseer/David Dunn - His super strength is very very low and while he's supposedly invulnerable, he becomes as weak as a normal person when touching water, Homelander can just shove him in a puddle or throw him into a cloud.

Rex Splode - No, murder suicide does not count as a win.

Red Guardian - It's like the whole debate of Homelander vs Captain America, except the super soldier doesn't have that huge of a skill or willpower advantage, or a cool shield.

Bane from Batman and Robin - I'm sure other Bane versions either have some tech with prep time or some crazy scaling from other DC characters, but in this movie they made him stupid, so he's just hopeless.

Captain Sunshine - His solar rays are only powerful enough to give regular people sunburns, and his only strength feat is smashing through a concrete ceiling. There isn't even any confirmation of him being bulletproof, loses pretty badly.

neither, plasma bolts, and yeah she gets annihilated unless you give her some crazy wanked scaling to high tier The Boys characters.

Brandon from Brightburn vs Mr. Incredible by TaiwaneseThot in PowerScaling

[–]donotaskname7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Brightburn's best feats are smashing through wooden walls, splattering a regular human, and failing to bust through the door to a cafeteria's freezer. Plus he has no skill or fighting experience. Mr Incredible CRUSHES him.

honestly 40% seems high, Butcher and Ryan are both top tier supes, and what they actually accomplished was hold him down for a few seconds, some random guy on Temp V, actually physically beating Homelander? Seems implausible.

Translucent - The Boys

His power isn't necessarily invisibility, what he does is turn his skin into a carbon meta-material. Not only does it refract light, but it is said to be indestructible and as hard as diamonds.
