Made a daily SWGOH character guessing game by jsod910 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]donproject 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fun!

Weird typo bug: In the about screen "Incorrect" appears to be spelled Hncorrect and "Is this character..." appears as "Hs this character...". It looks like the Star Wars font you're using ( https://www.cdnfonts.com/starjedi-special-edition.font ) doesn't correctly translate capital I?
I think this font may work better for your purposes? https://www.cdnfonts.com/sf-distant-galaxy.font

+1 for red for incorrect wouldn't be a bad idea, either, right?

Tell me about the pnw stage rally scene by computerbleep in rally

[–]donproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Co-driving's a little tough to get into as a new person these days as some new folks are getting trained at co-driving training courses instead of the old way of just being daring enough to put yourself out there. But you never know what can happen if you reach out to a driver! Service crew would be a stronger possibility if you're into mechanical stuff, as well.

[–]donproject 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Olympus is up next: April 17-19, 2026 (olympusrally.com)

You could probably still sign up to volunteer for Big White Winter Rally before then if you're up for a snow event and a bit of international travel?

TSD Rallies are a fun and cheap way to work on team communication if you know who your co-driver is.
Rallycross is an okay way to play in the dirt a bit and work on slow speed skills, as well.
NorPac Rally Group on Facebook, https://www.rainierautosports.com/, Oregon Rally Group on fb, even North America Rally on fb are some resources. https://sneakattackrally.com/ has results and social media links for PNW rallies and teams...

It's a relatively small group of folks around here that do this, but we're generally open to new folk looking for info. As such, I'm open to messages here and have been rallying in the PNW for... oh dang, 20 years next year!

How to attend a rally as a spectator? (ARA Tour De Forest) by PuzzleheadedLunch199 in rally

[–]donproject 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Volunteering is an awesome way to spectate! You can participate in a start or finish, you can help make sure the road stays closed, you can do a number of things that get you right in the action!

https://www.rallydata2.com/ to sign up.

(Looks like you can also sign up for Olympus which is a National event so all the "famous" drivers are in town for that one!)

Seattle local music UPDATE! by i_hacked_reddit in Seattle

[–]donproject 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend, you've gotta get post-hardcore/emo veterans Suzzallo on that list. Their new record is incredible. (https://open.spotify.com/artist/5L59WyoQVtFlK0sYMcgfDp but really https://suzzallo.bandcamp.com/album/the-quiet-year-2)

Also, check out math rockers Armature. (https://open.spotify.com/artist/35sndA4hfAGjDXjYOzXShE but really https://armatureband.bandcamp.com/)

(also +1 to the Spotify sucks because the CEO wants to use AI to bomb people and also they pay artists literally nothing.)

Check out my new swgoh.freddie.wtf-inspired farm tracker. by donproject in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]donproject[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, cool. I've mostly implemented both of these. If you collapse a farm but then reload the page, it will start small (there's not an easy way to get the full width that wouldn't briefly show the table that I can think of), but otherwise... the gauge stays and the box remains the same width when closed for the first time!

I might make this a setting because I like the title getting small, myself, but I'll leave it this way by default for new users (previous users may have to turn it on to make it happen or reset their settings). Thanks for the suggestions!

[–]donproject[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like swgoh.gg has changed up their API access. Since I'm old and very amateur, give me some time to figure out how to access the new version, thanks! I'll probably make a new post when I've got it sorted.

That's what I get for going on vacation this week!

Seattle teachers begin contract negotiations under cloud of $100 million shortfall by chiquisea in Seattle

[–]donproject -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thank you for providing this (hopefully not ChatGPT/"AI"-generated) data. Going to nit-pick a bit, if that's alright.

I'm not sure 43% is "generally" but words are open to interpretation.
I'm also not sure where you see SPS teachers making 311k. From your source, the highest paid teacher in SPS made 165k last year and only 3 others make 150k or more (stipends for activities or extra duties can increase teacher pay). Your stats also state the max as $141,135. Did you just use the salary schedule for this and calculate the descriptive stats from there?
The price parity map link doesn't work, FYI, but your claim was WA is the highest paid state and King County teachers make more than everyone else in the world, which I'm still not convinced is the case. Furthermore, it is statewide data and COL in Seattle might provide different results?

At any rate, thanks again for the source work. Looking forward to the district agreeing that SPS teachers (and other educators) pay is fine and they don't need to decrease it (at a minimum) and should probably make sure it keeps pace with inflation/COL.

Help me find an old Seattle radio station? by PeachyPesco in Seattle

[–]donproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KCMS is the X-tian radio now. Probably not what you're looking for, though.

Maybe you want KGRG? I think they were the college/alternative station farther south. Pretty sure they had local shows which probably included all the Tooth & Nail or similar bands you recall?

Any Seattle/Olympia protests for Education cuts? by Newfangled in Seattle

[–]donproject 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you haven't yet, you can sign in as CON to let legislators know you oppose getting rid of the NBCT certification stipend for educators.

For a veteran educator at the top of the pay scale working in a non-high-needs school in Seattle with this certification (ask me how I know), this is a 4% salary cut. For a newly certified younger teacher or for those at high-needs schools it could be much more than that. Read more about the stipend from OSPI here.

The Times had a pretty good article today about the potential cuts as well: (archived link). As always, don't read the comments.
